I was selling on EBAY. My account was suddenly suspended. I was linked to another account. I had relatives that lived with me and used my name and address to open EBAY accounts, credit card accounts, ect. One is now dead and the other is in Prison. I had nothing to do with them or the EBAY accounts they opened. I filed a complaint with the BBB against EBAY, as well as the California Attorney General's Office, The TEXAS Attorney General's Office, THE UNITED STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL'S Office and my account still remains suspended. I have written to John Donahoe, EBAY's President and C.E.O. sevel times and recieved one response. It was asking me to fax a statement and explanation to the Office of the president. I was told they would fix the situation, and I did exactly what they asked. Not only did I fax the items requested, I also mailed them. I am being victimized by EBAY now. I have tried and tried to get my account restored. I have done EVERYTHING EBAY has asked. I have contacted Mr. John Donahoe several times and he has refused to respond or fix the situation. EBAY has been completley unfair and unprofessional. My account should have been restored weeks ago. I have a perfect positive 10 rating and 100% Satisfaction. I had NOTHING to do with the other account. Am I going to have to file a lawsuit againgst EBAY? I hope not! I am hoping EBAY will do the right thing and restore my account. I hope Mr. Donahoe will do the right thing and restore my account. I will update this if EBAY will fix this and restore my account! I have explained to EBAY and Mr. Donahoe several times that Family members I helped used my name and set up the EBAY account using my name without my permission or knowledge. I was the victim. As the President and C.E.O., one would think he would want to do the right thing, to take care of his Buyers and sellers. Mr. Donahoe should be a good president and a good man and do the right thing! He should restore my account!

How to Deal with Suspended Ebay Account

What you need to understand is that they virtually almost never reinstate an account.
All you need to do is this:
1. Make a new user account on your computer (i.e. ~ when you open up your computer you have your account, your mother's account, etc. Just make a new profile account on your PC).
2. Either get new internet or just take your router to your ISP and tell them you need a replacement. This will give you a new IP.
3. Get a VCC (virtual credit card). Use a different spelling of your name. Get a Mail box (Pakmail, etc).
4. Start a new paypal account (use the new user profile your created on your computer with the new router or internet service). Use your alternate name spelling. Use the pakmail address. Use the VCC (you can get one on aspkin's website). If you want, you can also start a new bank account to attach to the paypal account.
5. After you have done this, create a new ebay account. Attach this new paypal to confirm your ebay account.
6. Just remember, you need to use new everything. Alternate spelling of your name, new address, new phone, new card, new bank, etc.
I have done this several times. I never have any problems. I have more than one ebay account right now.
Anyone can do this. Ebay can not stop you if you do the above. They are not smart enough to detect, even though they put 30 cookies on your computer while you are on their website.
This also above works with Amazon and all other websites.
Only when they ask for your SS number do you have an issue. Of course, you could just start a business and get an EIN number and start your amazon or ebay account using that.
Or you could just use a relatives ebay or amazon account.
Really, there is no way for them to stop you if you understand how much you can do.

Your irresponsibility with your personal information and passwords resulted in this situation. eBay has the right to protect their interests.
A business has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason so even if you are 100% correct, your lawsuit will never make it to court.

There is no solution for this. I didn't get what your previous reply which was a sarcasm. That's why I asked again. If I were Ebay, I would do the same because the proof of ownership is clear regardless the owner has nothing to do with the account activities.

They got enough nonsense to deal with and users messing up and expecting them to bail them out. It is a VERY POOR decision to share your account as if anyone using the account gets banned, everyone else on that account gets banned. Is that a tough rule? Maybe. But Ebay is not going to protect buyers and sellers from dead people and prisoners or any account holder becomes a risk.
So it comes down to it is the account holders fault for taking this risk with their account and Ebay just following it's own rules. I find it hard to blame Ebay or accuse them of any wrongdoings for just trying to protect it's own interests, and the interests of it's legit living un jailed members. Unless you can post a better solution that would be safer for them and all other users?

I am not sure if I interpret your reply correctly. From the report, the ownership of the account is under the OP name regardless who is accessing or using it. The OP acknowledge the existent of the account and give the permission of use of the account to others as well. Therefore, any activity associated with the account (regardless the OP ever uses it) would be responsible by the owner of the account -- the OP name. The report seems to omit what really happen (activity) on the account. The only thing I can think of is that there are illegal/violate activities on the account that causes other accounts of the same owner to be suspended.
Let's give an analogy... You open an account using your name and let someone you know use it. You do not do anything with the account at all. Then the person uses your account for money laundering. As a result, the person gets caught and goes to jail. My question is who is responsible for the account if a police comes after the account? That's what happened here.

Right there! If you do not see it, you have an issue understand why the other account of yours is suspended. From what I see, the other account was being used in fraudulent or some sort of illegal activity. You own it regardless who uses it. You acknowledge and let the person who uses it do whatever he/she wants.
How do you prove that you have nothing to do with the other account; where as, your name is on the account? If you can prove to them (with hard evidence, not just your words because it holds no weight now), they would surely restore it for you. Putting on this site is only to make yourself look more foolish...
Therefore, it is your responsibility to let others use your name to do bad things. Who is to blamed now?
