I ordered multiple items from an EBAY seller in June of this year for my wedding. I was assured that the items would arrive in time for my August 15th wedding, which they did not. I ordered $400 worth of items for my guest tables in a bulk shipment from the seller Impressive Weddings on EBAY- web site was www.yourweddingstore.org.
2 weeks prior to the wedding, I was starting to worry that these items had not arrived and emailed the seller but was assured that my items would arrive in time. The night before my wedding, heartbroken, I emailed and told them that I would OBVIOUSLY want a refund since the items had not arrived and I was in a panic to find things to put on my guest tables for the next day. I got an apology and a promise to refund my money.
When a couple of weeks went by, I contacted the seller again to ask where my refund was and was told that there had been a death in her family and that she hadn't been working much which was why my refund had been delayed. Stupid, naive me, I expressed my sympathy and waited for my refund. Weeks went by and when I inquired again on the status of my refund I was again reminded of the death in her family but promised a refund via US Post.
Weeks more passed and then she promised that it had been sent but she would call US Post to find out what happened to the money order she had sent. I asked for a refund via Pay Pal, which was how I had paid for the items but she insisted that the US Post office had already issued a new money order to me and that it would arrive any day.
Well, here we are at the end of Oct and I have not seen my $400. Not only did this woman ruin my wedding but I've been fighting tooth and nail since to get the money that she owes me. Now she simply does not return my emails and is operating under a different EBAY store- Karen Ann Weddings. Check her out at www.karenannweddings.com.
I have proof that this is the same person that I bought from as she sent me emails promising the refund from her new name...I even asked her why she was now operating under the new name of Karen Ann Weddings to which I received no reply....I wonder why. It's clear to me that she is simply moving on under a new name. I'd be curious to know how many other brides like me are out there out of money and with crushed wedding plans.
I cannot dispute her through PayPal as it's been over 45 days. I cannot disputer her through EBAY since I don't even have an Item number...being that it was a bulk shipment. The best that the EBAY online chat representative (the only medium through which I was able to communicate with anyone at EBAY about this matter) could do was tell me to email their customer support.
In any case, this individual needs to be stopped. I've pretty much accepted that she will not return my money but I am compelled to inform other brides to be about this method of purchasing wedding items...I thought EBAY was reputable and that I didn't have to worry but obviously it's not fail safe. I don't want anyone elses wedding day to be impacted like mine was...it is just too important of an event in one's life to be left to chance....you have to deal with reputable vendors. When word gets out that she's operating as Karen Ann Weddings she'll probably just make up another name on EBAY....who knows...maybe she's already got multiple aliases on there.
If anyone would like to see the emails from this seller promising me a refund and operating as both Impressive Weddings and later Karen Ann Weddings, I would be more than happy to forward them to you as well as the PayPal transaction record.
