EBay Inc. Ebay's Buyer Protection-Myth, Internet

Ebay advertises "buyer protection" as an inducement to buy from their sellers.  However, a clever seller can avoid any oversight or intervention by implementing tactics that protract the period of time lapsing from a sale so the buyer cannot take advantage of the 45 day window for filing dispute resolution requests.  I am out $135.  Contacting ebay to rectify a problem after the 45 day period is futile as they quickly point out they have no obligation in such matters.

Thus a clever seller, as in my case in another state, can operate fraudulent selling practices.. selling broken merchandise.. with impunity. As an out of sate filer, filing with the Atty general's office of the seller's state will not likely provide nay relief as out of state filers do not receive the same diligence as in state consumers.. that is especially true of Texas.   Add to that a "hands off" approach when Ebay is the selling agent via their website and you are out of luck.
