My Wife met Ed Rooney about 5 years ago (not to be confused with the principal from Ferris Bueller's Day Off). She helps run a trust with her sister that cares for her stepmother. Well after meeting Ed she was quite excited about the investment opportunities. The returns were large and so were her eyes. These opportunities were all real estate based.
Fast Forward to 2009. Mr. Rooney was handed a judgment for 85,000 which started as the investment of 50,000. He did not contact my wife until a court date was set. Unfortunately Ed Rooney missed his court date
The name of the company is United Investment. Mr. Rooney started in the real-estate boom and did what many people did some failed and some did not. Unfortunately for Mr. Rooney's clients he did fail.
Did Ed Rooney start his business to as a dishonest business? I always have felt that this is more by chance. These people fall behind and cannot keep up they borrow from Peter to pay Paul, so they lie and one becomes larger than the other. The other question would be is Ed Rooney running a Ponzi Scheme? That will be up to the Commonwealth Attorney to decide. . His behavior is not that unusual, a little man with a large ego.
Please do not participate in investments that are promised to produce returns that are unreasonable high. Please be cautious you will never recover your money.

As far as this complaint goes I would like to point out there is no factual evidence for the complaint. Not only that, but aside from calling Mr. Rooney a dishonest person it is impossible to understand exactly what the complaint really is.
There is no factual evidence that Mr. Rooney did anything dishonest, otherwise he would be in jail by now, which he is not. Moreover, Mr. Rooney has never been ordered by any court to pay any amount of money to anyone as a result of fraudulent business.
Mr. Rooney is not hiding, he is continuing to run an honest business with honest people, and if anyone has reason to present litigation to Mr Rooney they have the right to do so as any citizen of the United States does. Yet Mr. Rooney has spent the last few years trying to repair the damage this complaint has done to his business even though there are no, and have never been any real claims for law suits against him.

This poster is absolutely correct. I worked for this "home based" company which promised me was an office building for approximately 3 weeks. I had to beg to get paid for 1 week and even then I felt threatened and harassed just to collect 1 weeks pay. This company is a fraud, this man is a joke and he deserves to be in jail. I won't get into details about how I was treated but it was the worst treatment I have received in my entire life. I feel bad for anyone that has to deal with this fraudulent, cheating, unethical, deceitful individual.
