at its best!

After a lot of thought, I decided to join EHarmony for 3 months. What a RIP OFF! Don't do it!! The few "matches" I received were obviously the free "potential customers" who can sign up FREE and get matched. But none of them can post pictures - unless they pay to join. So, when you ask for a photo in the very beginning, they never respond. When I complained to EHarmony, they told me to "be patient."

When I complained again that I had not even received any matches in the last several weeks, I was told - this is unnelievable - that I had to "set aside an hour" to fill out yet another stupid questionnaire!!! Talk about passing the buck. They said via email, that unless I filled out another questionnaire, they would NOT send me any more matches!!! Just an arbitrary decision some idiot answering emails decided to do. I think that is what's called breach of contract - duh.

Obviously, they send "matches" to all the freebies who did not pay to join, just to hook them in and get them to join. Meanwhile, the paying customers don't get any matches.

Anyway, they are a huge rip-off company and I wish I had just googled them for complaints before I paid them. BEWARE. Do not join this ripoff company.

Eharmony, just like all internet dating, is an illusion

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

First of all, I am not trying to make anyone feel bad. Trust me, I have fallen into every scam out there! So, I know how it feels. And somehow, even though I keep getting burned, I still manage to get scammed. But, take this bit of advice, if nothing else. Dating/love/relationships can not be manufactured. A site can not "make" somebody love you. It's an illusion. They're selling you an idea. It's all pie in the sky bullsh*t. I personally am 35, never married, and can not make a freakin realtionship last to save my life. Every time I think something is going in the right direction, BOOM, a relative mysterioulsy gets terminally ill, their job starts having them work lots and lots of overtime (and in THIS economy no less), they get unexplained depression, you name it. But, I have to wrap my mind around the fact that I may never get married. It's called life. And life is a risk. No matter how you look at it. So, please, don't let a site sell you a pipe dream. After all, you really can't make somebody feel something.

EHarmony is horrible!

AUTHOR: Callma - (U.S.A.)

I hate Ehamrony! Honestly I think it is a huge ripoff and I would love to know how many people have actually had success using that site!

I have used Match.com in the past and didnt really have any issues meeting people but, because most of the people I would go out with seemed to be not so serious minded, I decided to try Eharmony to see if I would have better luck. Well, after two months, I never even got to a phone conversation with ANYONE!

When I first joined and filled out that loooong self assessment, I was matched up with several people but, after that, nothing...then, they started sending me matches that were located in other states when I specifically stated that I didnt want an LTR. I only received about 10 matches that were in my specified distance, the rest were all over the country. Also, the entire means of communicating by sending and answering questions would literally bore me to tears! It's so impersonal and such a waste of time.

I find it hard to believe that there were only 10 people that I matched up with in my general area. I'm pretty normal so it's not like I have unusual likes and dislikes etc but nope, no matches... THEN, when I canceled my membership, suddenly they started sending me emails that someone in my area wants to communicate with me! How interesting that in 2 months there seemed to be no matches and then suddenly when I cancel, BOOM, all these matches... just a ploy to get me to sign up again and have to pay to see who it is that is interested. I didnt take the bait though.

I will stick with Match.com for internet dating... at least I can pick who I want, communicate how I want and actually get to the date part!
