This elephant auto insurance made a mistake don't want to admit took my money and screamed at me over the phone.

On the 12/30/12 I called them to ask for a new policy and remove a car from it but the representative advised me to wait until the Due date of the payment that was Due by the 10 and also reminded me about the grace period of 10 days the company gives to make the payment and changes on my policy so I asked clearly if I could pay and make my changes to my policy the 19th and he said "Yes".

So I call the company on the 18th and they tell me my policy has been cancelled on the 16th. So I open a new policy giving the down payment a total of $a hundred and something.

Later the same day I checked my bank account and realized they charged me the money I was supposed to pay for my cancelled policy plus the down payment of the new one! Therefore I call to make my claim because they never told me that they would be charging me the money that I forgot to pay. I speak with the manager and she said they won't refund me my money so I asked to listen the conversation I held on the 30 th when one representative told me I could make my payment and changes on the 19th and they don't want to play it for me .

After insisting in hearing the conversation I held where clearly hear myself asking " so I do have until the 19th right?- rep: Yes sir ." We both listen to this recording and still this so called "manager " insisting in deny that they made a mistake !

They don't want to refund my money. Yeld at me over the phone and don't let me hear the recording clearly. So I ended up paying for a cancelled policy and for a new one and money they took from my account with out my permission .

I really would like to put a legal complaint if necessary and get my money back . This insurance looks and sound shady . Show no respect for the customer .

Moving to another next month.
