ESIW - Esthetic Skin Institute Sasha Parker Medical Training or Self Promotion? Internet

Usually I do not get involved in these type of health forums and when I go to a medical seminar I take the good with the bad.  Certain conferences I have attended have been outstanding and others were a waste of time and money. 

Recently, I was looking for some additional aesthetic training and ran accross ESIW in the search engine and having attended a prior seminar (which was a waste of time and effort) I decided to check on what was new.  What I found was a new website recently designed that just made me upset since the training I received was anything but what is portrayed on-line.  In addition, I found other rip-off reports that may be a little overboard but the essence of having a poor educational experience with the training is truthful as I can attest.

I attended ESIW, and the programs run by Sasha Parker about (2) years ago in Fort Lauderdale at the Hilton by the airport.  The program was disorganized at best and the materials handed out were somewhat basic, however that was not the real problem.  I had done research prior to receiving my Botox and Dermal Filler Training and found that there was no real established standard of care to the protocols but rather personal preferences for dosing and technique from the instructor who was just a family practitioner.  Not once during the conference did they make mention that the patients we were going to treat after the conference were new patients and thus we should be conservative in our approach concerning dosing and injection areas.  Instead, the dosing was extremely aggressive and very little time was spent on medical contraindications and zones of adherence for these injections.  In fact I had to volunteer myself to another person and be injected with saline as part of the course - ridiculous!  Having read the supplemental schedules of the ASPS, I can only conclude that these are Sasha Parker's personal preferences and what basis are these standards based upon?

Botox is a Schedule 2 drug and to receive training from an RN in these procedures really has me question the training I received.  I could care less what an RN has done with her career and accomplishments and though I congratulate her for taking my monies and others it is careless and reckless for her to portray what is taught within the course as a standard of care.  To think of the hundreds of ill-equipped physicians and others administering Botox and Fillers based upon this information makes me wonder why these procedures are not being limited back to the time of when only Plastic Surgeons and Cosmetic Dermatologists could perform these procedures.

Shame on you Sasha!  Hopefully, your electrolysis degree and aesthetic license will allow you to be the world renowned aesthetic authority and want-to-be physician you pretend to be.
