ESTELLE MURDOCK PHYSICAL VIOLATION by Nurse BIRMINGHAM, Alabama

I had an operation in 2009 at BROOKWOOD Hospital in Birmingham. It was a transurethral procedure and I had been assured by the facility that Iw ould have a male prep me for the operation. Since I was to be conscious with only a spinal-- i wanted same gender care. When a female appeared in my room (ESTELLE MURDOCK) I said nothing personal butr I'd like a male prep nurse... SHe denied me that dispite the hospital telling me it would be done. I also had my wishes WRITTEN out and laying on my chest at the time....that was ignored as well. I was PHYSICALLY VIOLATED by this nurse and am still peeved about it. I filed a complaint on her with the ALabama Board of Nursing-- the only time I have ever done that after 7  operations in 4 1/2 years.....
This insensitive woman caused me great mental stress and the bpublic should know about it. When I detailed what had happened to me to the surgeon at his office later on-- he said as soon as the hospital called him he KNEW who the nurse would be tha the complaint had been filed on.
