EZ Phone Cash They harassed me over the phone for my SSN then asked for my routing number and hung up Internet

I applied for a payday loan online and all the sudden a guy from "EZ Phone Cash" calls me and wants to verify information to confirm and complete the application. After I refused to give him my SSN he hung up. He called back 5 seperate times after asking the same question and finally the last call he made, he asked for my ABA routing number and I was a little weary. So I asked which bank they had on file that I listed in the application, he would not say, I asked if it was one of the two I have and he answered with another question as to which bank it was. When I said the bank he confirmed and immediately hung up. I really hope they are not trying to use my info because I am a broke college student with barely any money as it is. I'm not sure how to go about this without closing out my checking account, which I realistically can't right now. Please Help?
