I have been storing goods at EZ Storage in Catonsville, MD. for the last past 5years now. I know all of the staff member who worked at this location. I had moved to Atlanta, GA area but kept in contact with them in regards to my storage fees. I was not notified by mail or phone that my unit was going up for auction as descripted in the contract for renting a storage unit from ez storage. When, i arrived in baltimore to get my storage out, it was told that i owed them 700 dollars, which didn't include just the storage fee but other surchages,interest etc. My unit was about 150 a month. I only owe them for two past due payments. I called the manager Rick Angus who was new, i had never met him before; I went to my friends house to see if, he could help me. I called the storage manager that day in front of 4 witnesses. He began to argue with me as if, he didn't want me to come and pick up my unit. I told him that i didnt receive a notice from them. He told me to come pick it up, the next day, with the money in cash. I call the next day, and he had quit and my things were going to the warehouse for auction. I called the main office, president todd manago, who told me he was on his way out of the office to play golf, to call him back on monday. I call back on monday, and they kept giving the run around. I started doing some investigation, I found out that Raul Khan only worked for the company for 6 months, he sent in one of his friends to bid on my stuff. Legal aide told me that they violated the agreement by not notififying me as it is written in their agreement terms. Later on about three weeks, later I called back at the ez storage corp office. I found out my things were still being tagged and could have been withheld. I was not suppose to be given any thing back out of the storage. They felt sorry for me an had the audacity to call me up to pick up some paper work. I had stored up not only my personal things, furniture , clothers,jewelry etc.. I had also stored up in their my record production studio achives, albums, equipment, suppllies/furniture etc. I have a partner who will be filing a law suit against me, if i dont retrieve his assets. I had recorded Ray Lewis album, and Raven theme song Every Purple Sunday, and we also had pictures in their of artist/producers from all over the world celebrities. I had contract agreements, applications,copyrights of those files that were my artist/producers. We have a list of all our assets that were in that storage available. I need a good probono lawyer to help me file this case. Iam unemployed sick elderly woman who is recovering from some other serious damages too. I want to file a multi million dollar law suit against this conspirators.. my consumer rights have been violated not to mention the other physical/mental damages that were done to me.
