This complaint is in regards to Walter Keener, Relocation Sales Manager of East Coast Van Lines, Inc. I have never dealt with someone as unprofessional as this individual in my life. First of all, we agreed that the movers would arrive at 3pm on Saturday, December 15th. The movers arrived at 8am and called me repeatedly. Finally, when I told them I was not available until the afternoon, they told me they would come back around 2pm to start the job. Walter also told me my total cost including boxes would be maximum $300. I decided to provide the company with my own boxes, which they used, however, they still used all of their boxes as well as extra boxes. When the movers came, they packed my materials in such a way where they had to use extra boxes, which ended up costing me more money.  After the movers brought my materials and furniture to my new location, they told me that it would cost extra money to bring my furniture upstairs.  I clearly told Walter that my furniture would be brought to a 2-story house.  He did not mention any extra costs for bringing furniture upstairs. I then tried calling him and he was unavailable. The movers told me they would charge me for an extra hour, otherwise they would not do the job. I had no choice but to pay them under the table to complete the job. Instead of paying $300, I ended up paying $560 total.

Defamation and extortion

We obtain the contract from another moving company through our legal department and it clearly shows Rajeev Nasta's old address with a new address and his signature.

It also shows everything. Our name and phone number do not appear anywhere. We never received any money from Rajeev Nasta neither. The mover does not work for our company ether.

 Ripoff report needs to remove this complain immediately or we are going to take legal actions for posting this false information.

Liars and Harassment

This company is denying the fact that what I said is true. This is in fact the correct company who scammed me and things have just escalated. Once the manager/owner, Scott, found out I posted factual information about his company- East Coast Van Lines, he began with threatening phone call messages. He called my cell approximately 10 times within the span of 2 weeks. When I finally answered, he threatened to come after me and my dog. He also called me derogatory names like "faggot" over the phone. Clearly, this owner needs mental help. I reported this to the police and also have a case number in case Scott tries to deny that this is not the correct company. Obviously he is trying to cover up his actions to protect his company, but I have never ever seen a company handle a complaint the way Scott and Walter handled my complaint. Who leaves threatening voice messages and makes sexual comments to their customers?? I am currently in the process of pressing charges against Scott and East Coast Van Lines for harassment and hate crimes. I would hope that whoever reads this, takes me very seriously. If you are looking for a moving company, please do your research first and ask for a referral. Don't make the mistake I made, which was not doing my research.

We did not move this person and do not have any contract with this consumer. Ripoff Report and consumer need to remove this complaint from this website or we will take this matter to court.
