East Mesa Justice Court, Maricopa County Sherriff's Office ripped off by Mesa Court and Sherriff's office Mesa Arizona

I have recently had the displeasure of being scammed by the MCSO and the court for $45 when I appeared in court after I found out that a bench warrant was issued for me for a failure to appear charge. This was involving an incident that occurred a full year before in April'06. I was contacted by an officer in July'07 to give a statement about it and gave my full cooperation in his investigation answering all his questions regarding the incident. I was contacted by phone by the officer, he had my cell # already, and we agreed to meet at a restaurant nearby. He was given my basic info including a current address, alternate contact phone #, vehicle info, and Arizona drivers license info that showed my home address. He had NO problems finding me at all. And he received my fullest cooperation with everything he asked of me. After we finished our meeting he told me he was skeptical any charge would be ever filed by the state. We shook hands and I left feeling that I had done all I could do to assist his effort. I was shocked to find out that I had an arrest warrant for me after talking to a police officer near my home in Tempe. This was especially traumatic to me because I was now on chemo therapy and I was being arrested just 2 hours before my weekly infusion appointment. I was terrified as I was cuffed, searched and placed in a patrol car. Missing my infusion, even once, could be deadly for me. Thank god I live in Tempe where Policeman aren't using the militant tactics Mesa PD use, and Officers actually listen to, assess the situation, and still act as professionals without mistreating or disrespecting you. I was given the opportunity to explain to the Tempe Officer that I had no idea that I had a summons for me. He checked into the details about it and he could see why. It seems that nobody in the Mesa PD or the E Mesa Justice court had enough intelligence to read the info I had given to the Mesa Officer assigned to this case. And here's how the SCAM begins: 1:Mesa PD files report with DA's office 2:DA files charge with E Mesa court and court issues summons using incorrect info. that is right in front of them in thier report! 3:NOBODY uses or checks the info I had supplied a YEAR before resulting in a summons sent to the wrong address. 4:Court issues a warrant for my arrest and gives to MCSO for service and these morons further f*** things up by changing my address to an address I was at in 1999. WTF are they smoking? 5:Two months later I find out that warrent is issued and within three minutes Tempe Officer is sent info that he can see is incorrect about me. note: Tempe officer did release me aftewr talking to his supervisor and my assurance that I would go to the court the following day and take care of the warrant. Which I did. And thats when I find out how the SCAM works. 6:I appear at the court and ask to see the judge to quash the warrant and reschedule an appearance date. And I am told: " you must pay $45 for the warrant" before I will be allowed to see the judge. There is no exceptions. Period. Even while I give them the proof that it was their error that resulted in a warrant being issued. I was being extorted by these imbeciles after cooperating in every way I could! If I could not pay first then I would be arrested! 7: I pay the money and am allowed to see the Judge. The Judge tells me it's the MCSO's error so I still have to pay even though he is looking at PROOF that it is the courts fault.

I know that it is a SCAM when judge access must be PAID for in a PUBLIC court. Seems to me that no fairness can be expected from this A**HOLE that is making sure that the truth will not be accepted or enforced while he is on the bench.

I live in Tempe because I like my rights protected by the Police, Courts, and the Judges that have not been influenced by the cash grab Mesa has become. Also in Tempe a bus route that people need to survive is not the First thing be axed from the city budget when NEED has become the greatest. Second class citizens we are all treated as and Mesa is becoming the valleys largest slum.

My thanks to the Tempe PD for doing what was right. You definitely are not the NAZIS types that Mesa employs. You have my respect.

MY ADVICE: if you believe in the constitutional right stay clear of Mesa and take your business elsewhere.
