Working with this company has been almost a nightmare from the start. I will say that the sales person who came to my home was named Reba or Reva can not remember, she was very nice and knowledable except she was also a great liar. She underestimated the total weight of what we were moving by about 5-6 thousand pounds. We also received per her writing "30 days free storage". This company moved my belongings into storage on January 11th, 2008. We received an invoice for storage which was quoted at $265 per month for $450 starting February 1st. When i called the company they said that we had more boxes than we had when the originally came out. I explained to the woman that when your company came out to do the estimate our house was entirely packed up and we were getting on a plane 2 hours after you left my house, so how did we add more? She did not have an answer. I then asked why am i receiving an invoice when i have 30 days free, she said that it only counts for the first month. So i asked if you had moved my stuff on January 30, i would still have to pay February? She said yes. I eventually won this battle because it was all in writing. Now lets move forward 4 months. We informed the company that we wanted our things delivered on a Saturday, we gave them 3 weeks notice when according to them all they require is 5 days. We called the company numerous times the week before to confirm and eveytime the receptionist (the words i would like ot use to describe her will not allow this to be posted) told us to sgtop calling and someone would be in touch to confirm. Well no one confirmed and no one ever called. So the first person we could get on the phone was Saturday afternoon at 4:00. She was the rudest person i have ever heard. she was yelling at my wife that the truck had not left NJ yet and we would not have our things until Monday. I would like to write more and more but it is too frustrating. Do not use the no-name low budget moving company. I was just as dumb as they are for actually signing up with them. Use the large companies they know what they are doing, it may cost twice as much but use them so you dont run into this problem.

East West Mover Does what they Say their going to Do

My Moving Experience was great. from the time they called me and all the way to my delivery it was smooth sailing. Listen i have moved a number of time with companies that have ripped me off, broken my things, stole my things, and raised the price of my move. They ( East west movers ) where honest and stuck to the price they quoted me. If you go to their web site you'll see that i'm not the only one who thinks they're a great company. If you are moving and don't want any problems do yourself a favor and call east west movers. My rep's name was Stanley and he was a dear,  Again I would and will back these guys up because they are a company you can Trust!!!!

over exaggerated customer

on 01/09/08 i went to the customers home to give him a visual onsite estimate, upon entering the home the customer showed me a room full of boxes and a few pieces of furniture. There was absolutely no way to know exactly how many or the weight of these boxes. Based on what i observed i explained to the customer that he would be responsible for the actual weight of his shipment and that the approximate weight of the shipment based on my visual eye was 5300 lbs again i never lifted any boxes and have no idea what was in the boxes

however on 01/11/08 when we arrived at his residence to load his shipment and go to the weight station thats when we were able to obtain his actual weight in which a phone call was made to the customer to let him know of the increase in weight. His actual weight was 8180 lbs. Based on the 5300 lbs the storage charge of $265 was quoted to the customer once shipment picked up and we had the actual volume of course a larger storage was needed again the customer was notified of the increase in storage because of the size storage needed. To date this customer notified the company of his claim in return we sent out a claim form in which he has not filled out and returned to the company. This letter was mailed out on 06/30/08. On 07/11/08 we sent out a second claim form requesting the customer to fill out and send back so we can settle his claim if indeed he has a claim. We are a reputable company who thrive on customer satisfaction and if we caused any damage we will whole heartedly resolve the claim. We are members of the American Moving & Storage Association and we are in good standing with them. I have tons of referrals and happy customers.
