October 15, 2008- Purchased battery refill for my Macbook and paid through paypal. I shipped my battery to Batteryrefill.com using the label they emailed to me.
Oct 27, 2008- Old battery arrived at vendor's location.
Dec 7, 2008 Battery received from Ebattery, Inc.com; battery did not work. would not charge, read 0 Volts with my voltmeter.
Dec 8, 2008 Filled in Ebattery.com's RMA request form. Received automated reply from Ebattery, Inc.com
Dec 9, 2008 Received RMA number and shipping label from ebatteryAKA Battery Refill.com
I shipped the non-functional battery back to Ebattery, Inc
Dec 12, 2008 Faulty refilled battery arrived at vendor's location.
I made many attempts to reach ebattery.com, with no luck. They never sent a battery, and they ignored me.
July 7, 2009 After many attempts, I finally reached a person at customer service for Ebattery, Inc. I explained the situation to the customer service representative. He said he could not understand why my battery had not been re- filled and tested. I requested that he find out what's happening with it and get back to me.
July 11, 2009 I sent an email to Ebattery, Inc (dba batteryrefill.com) customer service asking for prompt action on my complaint. Send me my battery or refund my money.
July 20, 2009 No word from anyone at Ebattery, Inc. I called and reached Customer Service. He said he had not been able to find out anything. I requested that he cancel my order and refund my money.
He informed me that the refund would take 7 to 10 days.
Late July and August 2009: Several attempts to phone and request action.
August 31, 2009 No refund or credit on my credit card. No refund check. No Paypal refund.
I sent another email to Batteryrefill.com, this time explaining that I am about to make another refund request from Paypal. I also explain that I have only waited this long because Andrew had promised he would either send my battery or send my money.
I attempt to request a refund online from Paypal.
I can't do the online request because of the amount of time that has passed, so I call Paypal Customer service.
Paypal initiates a claim against Ebattery, Inc
September 11, 2009 Paypal decides the dispute in my favor. Paypal refunds $4.20 to my Citicard account. That is the entire cash balance Ebattery, Inc. com has with paypal.
Paypal requested that Ebattery, Inc refund my money.
So far, I have only been able to get $4.20 back. Ebattery has given me no explanation of what their problem is. It's really weird, they seem to be a legitimate business but they don't respond to anything, they don't send my battery, and last time I called, the customer service guy got really angry at me. Angry at ME? I've waited 11 months for a stupid computer battery.
I don't know what's going on at this company, but I would stay away from them!
