My Mother come up to Daleville, AL for my wedding and stayed in a suite at the Econo Lodge in Daleville, AL on the night of 01 June, 2007. She changed for the wedding and left her alarm clock, a T-shirt and blue jeans in the room. She checked out on the way to the wedding.
Then on 03 June 2007, while on her way back to Jacksonville Florida she realized she left some personal belongings in the room. She called and spoke with Willy who stated he had her belongings and would hold onto then for 30 days.

When I returned from my honeymoon my mother drove up from Jacksonville FL to visit and to retrieve her personal items on 30 June, 2007. The Econo Lodge could not find her personal belongings, which they had stated they had and would hold.

Now she is out for the cost of her personal belongings, the alarm clock was of sentimental value, and the cost of gas to drive 300 miles each way to retrieve her belongings.

The management of Econo Lodge in Daleville, AL refused to speak with us until the police were called. The General Manager showed up and gave us an attitude like it wasn't her problem and she doesn't care. After all why should Econo Lodge care they already took her money, and her personal items.

Cory, you read the post wrong

AUTHOR: Nikki - (U.S.A.)

She didn't drive 600 miles to retrieve her belongings. She drove 600 miles to visit her son and stopped by the Econo Lodge to get her belongings.

No, Really

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

Someone is gonna drive SIX HUNDRED MILES, probably spend TWELVE HOURS on the road and spend what, at least $120 worth of gas for; an alarm clock, a t-shirt and blue jeans? The rental car companies figure with wear and tear and maintenance and insurance, EACH MILE a vehicle is driven cost appox. ONE DOLLAR per mile.

So if you drive 600 miles, that will be $600. Then if you figure your time at say $10 per hour, that's another $120. Then the gas thrown in for another $120 give or take. So, by driving back to get "the alarm clock, a t-shirt and some blue jeans, you're round trip expenses will around $840, not including meals and a place to stay once you get there. By the way, what day did you return from your honeymoon?
