Econolodge Overcharged my friend and then discriminated against him for being disabled Portland, Oregon

My friend has brain damage and it's obvious he does .  Plus he is homeless .  He wanted to rent a motel for the night to get a good shower and shave and relax .  I looked up some places online for him and told him the prices of the rooms .  I get a call an hour later and he tells me he paid 112 dollars for a room.  I said " Are you kidding me ?"  I asked him does it have a hot tub or anything special in the room and he said no.  

O.k. I figured they charged his debit card more than the cost of the room in case of any problems and they would refund it to the original price of the room , which would be 67 dollars with tax .   When I went to pick my friend up this morning I asked the lady about that and she said she charged him that because they only had two rooms left and they can charge whatever they want.  She yelled at us as we were going up the stairs to be quiet and we were talking too loud.  She was very rude.  

When we went to check out ,  this woman had the NERVE to call someone and make them CHECK his room to see if he had trashed it or stole something.  And get this,  she made him LEAVE HIS I.D at the desk overnight when he wouldn't leave his Visa debit with her for the night.   I have never heard of such things.  

I got online as soon as I got home and I saw she has now raised the price of the room to 79 a night.  Plus ten dollars for taxes.  How can they charge whatever they want to for taxes ?  

I have stayed in many hotels and motels and have never been treated in that manner .  She overcharged someone who she knew had difficulty in speaking because she knew she could. I feel she owes him an apology and at least thirty dollars for the overcharge.  People should be careful who they mistreat.
