#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

to both of you guys

AUTHOR: Eddie - (U.S.A.)

I worked with NAA for two years and I consistently wrote 6K a week until I had to start flying out of town to produce. I watched NAA devour itself and get progressively worse.
Yes, they do sell the same lead to anyone in the U.S. who will by it. Thats what I mean by devour itself. How can anyone in their right mind stay with a company that sells the same lead to all of it's agents? They don't have anything to offer anymore because of the real estate bubble that burst. So, they recruit new agents and sell old leads or re-fi leads. They make their money selling leads to the new unsuspecting agents. The three wise men will tell you that they are a marketing comapny, not an insurance company. They have gone the route of Amway. They are the Amway of the insurance business. Their persistency is around 50% and they lie out the waaaaazoooooo!!! They will go down in history as a blight on the insurance industry.

My advice to anyone is to stay away from any "Mortgage Protection Insurance" until the real estate industry turns around.

It's not nonsense Chuck. It's true.

AUTHOR: ML - (U.S.A.)

Interesting that you WERE with NAA. So it didn't work out for you either. In your case you may have left for reasons other than those cited above. Good for you if you didn't get squeezed by the MLM of the insurance lead business. I've actually met you and you seemed like a nice guy, although not the sharpest tool in the box. And for the record, your friend's programming skills may impress you, but he's standard fare if your looking for programmers.

Anyway back to the topic at hand. Ed Orell, and of course NAA. So much to say, where to start...
First of all Ed will equate doing "crazy" things with success. Secondly, NOBODY is expected, or does succeed. In fact one of the founders, Barry Clarkson, likes to tell rooms full of people "98% of you won't be here in a year". Thirdly Ed will tell you that if you stop recruiting your override income goes away.

I wonder how many are so proud to think they are good enough to beat those odds. "The numbers be the numbers" is another NAA battle cry. For crying out loud, this is insurance, not NASA. Should the turnover really be so high? Of course, and here's why:

When you start you MUST buy a policy on yourself. This plus some honest work (yes you do need to work) can get you some OK sales numbers at first. However, If you aren't good enough to convert $10 web leads that cost you $25 and more depending on your commission rate you soon drown in lead bills. If you think having a perfect stranger control your leads, and don't mind if you only get a week to convert them before he gives them to another agent as "free" , NAA is for you. Ed will toast you to the group call as you post submitted numbers that won't be issued and won't stick as the products they sell are at above market rates to allow for the commission they command from the carrier. Oh yes and you start at a 55%! Well below industry standard and yet another aspect to the MLM. scheme. Once reality hist and you cant afford the leads your numbers drop and you will not be mentioned again. The next over-exited downline will be used to generate the hysiteria for the group. It's kind of like walking the plank while being given enough recognition to let you pride overlook what your wallet is screaming. Meanwhile all your downlines think you're making a fortune and want to be like you. MLM baby!

Many who are all glowing over a recent leaderboard mention, or (gross)paycheck with a comma, revisit this in 6 months. You'll see why NAA has cancellation rates in the 40% range vs 15% industry average. And for those who are at about 6 months at NAA, stop everything and put it all on QuickBooks. Then post your rebuttal. Especially you Eileen.

I'll be writing a detailed expose in the coming weeks. Just search for Ed Orell on the site. Set aside 15 minutes a night to enjoy my many entries to come.

What is this nonsense?

AUTHOR: Chuck L. - (U.S.A.)

I was with NAA and the Ed Orell Agency for several months and found it to be a very transparent business. If you work hard and follow their sales procedures you do well and the harder you work the better you do.
I simply didn't want to put in the work and effort and chose a different path. As I read this post I see nothing but nonsense with zero substance. Who, in their right mind, would make a decision about NAA or Ed Orell based on this foolishness that appears to be written a fifth grader.
NAA is the right opportunity for the right person, not everybody, and the your performance and income at NAA is accurately based on your effore, nothing else

All results or lack thereof rest solely on the person not the opportunity, only a fool would belief otherwise
