When we returned our RV to El Monte in Dublin, they looked it over and we, and they, signed our release agreement promising to refund our security deposit.
Later that day, we learned they charged our credit card $290 for "damages they discovered."
Number one: that is illegal. They are not allowed to charge someone's card after the checkout process. We called them and you could hear it in their voices that they knew they did the wrong thing. And, they voided the charge.
However, after promising us our security deposit within "6-7 business days," we waited two weeks. Nothing. No call. No return of funds.
We called them and they summarily, cavalierly say: "Well, we found $1,200 of damages, so you won't be getting anything back."
#1. They didn't give us an opportunity to review the damages at checkout.
#2. How do we know they didn't damage the vehicle?
#3. It's illegal. Even if we were responsible for damages, which we were not, they need to confirm that at checkout.
#4. Who is handling the repairs and how do we know it's not some over-priced auto-body shop gouging us, to their mutual profit?
They did not care. They told us to "sue them" if we wanted. So they add insult to injury.
Fortunately, our insurance company confirmed that what they did was illegal and will be pursuing the money.
This is an absolute low-class organization. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Just look at their Yelp reviews: (((link redacted))). ONE STAR AVERAGE RATING.
