In December 2012 we received a call from Vacation Village inviting us to attend an owners Q/A meeting at Grandview Las Vegas. On January 5, 2013, while attending this Q/A meeting for Grandview Las Vegas owners, we were verbally harassed, emotionally assaulted, intimidated, degraded and embarrassed by the SALES representatives. Part of this harassment was recorded on our Iphone. Salesmen attempted to pressure us into depositing monies into our RCI account in order to switch our current outdated weeks status to the valuable points status.
After a 3 hour SALES pitch, we informed the representative that we would not dump more money into a program we had not been unable to use in 3 years. When we attempted to leave the high pressured sales area the representative, Mr. Sacco informed us if we left we would lose our deposits and any incentives promised to us.
The representative Mr. Sacco later claimed to be going to get our refunds and left the table. He returned a few minutes later not with our deposits but with yet another sales person by the name of Eddie Kruczynski. At this point we were feeling very trapped and pressured therefore we announced to both salesmen that the conversation is now being recorded. Mr. Kruczynski can be heard on the recording being inflammatory, abrasive and even at one point tapping on our Iphone with his pen and getting in our face. This continued for over eight minutes with Mr. Kruczynshi being aggressive, rude, cocky and frankly lying.
The recorded part of the meeting confirms that it was not really a meeting for owners to obtain answers to their questions. It also confirms that this was a high pressured ploy to get more money from us as timeshare owners. The representatives worked for over 3 hours to convince us to deposit money into our RCI account to offset the $5000 paid to RCI on our behalf by the developers to switch owners from weeks to points.
We attended this meeting to find out why we were not able to use our timeshare in manner in which it was sold to us 3 years ago. Instead we were pressured to deposit money into our RCI account on the promise that this time we would really be able to use our vacation time.
Complaints to the BBB resulted in Eldorado stating we apologize for the unsatifactory experience the customer encountered in regard to upgrading to points with RCI and will address their issue with the salesman and his manager. Their letter has been forwarded to their mortgage holder to process the requested change in the auto debit from their checking account. they can contact them at 1-800-318-2215. Per the Nevada Statutes the customer can only cancel and be refunded within 5 days of the purchase. their will be no refund on the.
We were not customer as stated, we were owners attending not a sales presentation but a Q/A meeting. To imply we agreed to this "meeting" to upgrade to points is inflammatory. In addition, changing the auto debit does not cancel our purchase and the LIES about our timeshare were not discovered within the 5 days or we would have canceled at that time!
