THEN I receive an email that the item shipped via FedEx. l responded that I cancelled the order and it should not have been shipped. Received an email from "Betty" to refuse delivery and they would refund the payment. Couldn't 'refuse' the payment; it was left by FedEx during the day while we were at work. Called FedEx and they said they would pickup the box and use the same FedEx number to deliver the item back to the vendor which they did. The FedEx tracking no. has TWO records associated with it on the website: one for the late shipping and one for the return.
The item was received by the vendor on Jan 11th. A week later, I contacted them about a refund and they said 'please be patient' - same language as with the other ripoff report for this vendor. After another week elapsed, I finally called AmEx and filed a dispute.
Yesterday, I received a letter from AmEx who report the vendor denies ever receiving the keyboard back at all, yet I have email chain in Ebay where they TWICE indicate they received the item and that they were trying to refund the money but were having trouble and to 'please be patient.'
Clearly, they were dishonest with the AmEx rep as well as Ebay and PayPal. Why are they allowed to sell via any of these platforms? I will be contacting AmEx tomorrow about this latest deceipt and of course, it's all wasted time and stress to finally prevail.
Hope this helps someone else avoid a similar problem with this vendor. Misinformation about shipper and tracking no, delaying tactics for issuing a refund, and deceitful in communications with the payment vendors.
