Does your business have a bad reputation?
Fix it the right way.
Corporate Advocacy Program™
They do not treat everyone equal. If a sales rep produces for the company and they go against company policy, nothing happens to them, but if you don't produce and go against company policy they will fire you.
They micromanage you, demanding workshops and meetings that you don't get paid for. You are 100% commission and have no flexibility. They expect you to be in the office from 8-5 and make 100 phone calls a day, as a sale representative on commission only pay.
The company has changed winning parameters in mid contest, and constantly change their quota system. They are now taking away hard earned monthly residual income away if you don't meet their quotas.
There are a lot of companies out there that have a lot more to offer potential and current employees.
As far as merchants are concerned, there are a lot of better deals out there. EMG uses tactics to upgrade your terminal when there is no need too.
For Example:
Mr. merchant we can offer you these rates here, but if you buy this terminal from us we will give you lower rates.
The only way a terminal can give a merchant a better price is if the merchant purchases a high speed terminal, but it only affects the trans fee, not the rate.
This company is not a Direct Processor they go through a company called First American Payment Systems.
I highly discourage your involvement with this organization.

What training??? Here is a phone book, start making phone calls. The turnover is ridiculous at EMG, it is a revolving door. I learned more on my own than from EMG and there staff. It is all about what is in it for EMG, they do not care about there employees or there merchants. Charging 1500.00 to 2500.00 for a terminal that cost 300 to 600 dollars when the industry is giving them away for free. If EMG was competitive and a direct processor than they should be able to beat anyones rates. Time after time EMG could not beat merchants rates and the managers would say well go get another one... It was never in the original contract that EMG could take your residuals away because quota wasn't meet. EMG changes there empoloyee contracts frequantly, and if Employees don't sign it they dont have a JOB. Hiring managers out of the industry with no knowledge....how can they train you??? When reps that have been with the company for years don't know answers there is a problem. What training?
I personally find that the training is beneficial and is one of the reasons that we are a better company. I'm only a low man on the totem pole but I've seen our competitors go out on an appointment and have no idea whats going on in our industry and not have a clue about what a merchant needs, they just throw out a one rate fits all kind of program because that's all that they know. There's so much changing in our industry that if you don't get informed then you would be performing a disservice to your potential clients.
As far as equipment goes it absolutely saves money by buying a newer terminal over another. We can lower the rates because the terminal is more secure if its bought from us (no worries of third party skimming programs) and will last longer (we're replacing these terminals at no cost other than shipping and handling and an Eliot terminal will last much longer that a Nurit or Verifone). We are willing to lose a few points in the rates if it means we will spend less on replacing equipment and especially if it means that our clients are vastly less likely to fall victim of some sort of data breach.
