I was contacted by phone with an advertising deal that sounded great. The "new" Golfer magazine was to be distributed in many of the high end private country clubs in the area. They would create the advertising for free and than place the 1/3 page ad in 4 publications during the year. When I didn't bite at first they transfered me to a closer who offered a half page ad for the same price. My first hint something was wrong was the ads they created so very bad! I finally mocked up an ad in Photoshop to give them. They called back and tried to sell me more ads when the first ones had yet to appear. My wife took the call and started searching "elite Exposure Marketing LLC Scam". Turns out they have been selling these ads for years but never print or distribute the magazine at the private clubs they claim. The "new" Golfer magazine comes out after the time to cancel your credit payment has passed. I emailed some advertisers in the sample magazines on their website. One called me back and said he NEVER got any business from the "Golfer" Do not waste your MONEY!
