I bought my car from ABC Auto Trading in Lakewood, Co in 2012 with Elite Warranty. Unfortunately the car broke down in a month and I called the Elite Warranty to cover the maintenance. But their empty promise revealed my denying all the maintenance cost. I strongly advice everybody to get far away from them.

This whole issue started because the customer had an alternator go out. Elite Warranty paid to have his vehicle towed to a repair shop. The repair shop diagnosed the problem to be a faulty alternator. The customer has a powertrain only coverage, so and alternator is NOT a covered item. Nothing denied, simply just not a covered repair.

The customer was very upset that the alternator was not covered. The repair shop informed Elite Warranty that the customer was being difficult and was determined to have the shop find something wrong that would be covered. Shop advised that there were multiple code, one which could be a cam adjuster and the other possibly a torque converter lock up issue.

Elite Warranty advised the shop that while both the cam adjuster and the torque converter are both covered items, the driveability issue with the alternator would need to be fixed first. Then clear all stored codes and if the cam adjuster and torque converter codes were to come back then we could address it at that time.

That is the last we heard from the shop and the customer. We assumed that the alternator replacement and clearing the codes had solved the issues and there were no further issues. If the cam adjuster and torque converter codes had/have come back on, all the customer needs to do is to take the vehicle back to a repair shop and have them give us a call. We can send an adjuster right out and if we have a valid claim, get the repair started. If the customer has replaced the cam adjuster and/or torque converter (which I am sure he hasn't) all he needs to do is call us at Elite Warranty and we will give him a fax number or email address to send in the PAID repair order/Invoice for evaluation and reimbursement if valid coverd repairs were made.

Warranty doesn't cover maintenance

Elite Warranty Vehicle Service contracts do not cover normal vehicle manitenance such as brakes, belts, hoses, etc. and are limited to failure of items listed on the contact.
