Emblem Credit Limit Increase
AUTHOR: Stephan - (United States of America)

I also have participated in this program, made all payments earlier than requested, never went over the limit and was told flat out by customer service that credit limit increases were not now, nor would they ever, be available for this program.....not sure if it's the same one or if Jefferson aka Emblem has a different one.
Despite this, however, the program did as requested and I have no complaints.
Just put the following into your favorite search engine "compucredit lawsuit ftc.gov" the first link should get you to the FTC web site that shows the suit.
By the way if Compucredit sounds familar they are the same company that owns Aspire VISA. Gee any RipOff reports on them?

ITS A Collection Agency scam - to get you restart the clock on old uncollectible debt

JEFFERSON AND EMBLEM VISA ARE LISTED HERE WITH THE WARNING NOT TO ACCEPT THE CREDIT CARD OFFER!!!!!
http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/jefferson_capital.htm
Once you make the first payment - you restart the clock on that debt - making it legally collectible again.
Junk Debt buyers pay pennies on the dollar for these and then try to collect the full amount from you. Its a gamble for them to do this. When they cannot collect - they resell it to another collection agency.
For those of you who feel it helped
IT DID NOT - YOU WERE SCAMMED BY AN ILLEGAL DEBT COLLECTION

I looked at their site, I don't see anything wrong with these people yet, though I haven't been late or allowed my card payment to be late either. They are a collection agency

Try Reading the Welcome Letter Again and Following the Instructions Carefully. . .

Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC sent me a wonderful welcome letter that totally explained the process in great detail. They explained "How the Program Works" - "Your Next Step: Make Your First Payment" - "Four Easy Ways to Make Payments" - And even gave me several payment options to satisfy my debt. Timely monthly statements were mailed out until my debt was paid in full.
The Bottom Line: I read the welcome letter, followed the letter's instructions carefully and the program performed flawlessly. My Program Balance was $697.07 - My Payments to Qualify was $251.00 - My Months to Qualify were 12 months and my Payoff Amount was $488.07. As soon as I paid the first $251.00 (payments to qualify within 12 months) Monterey County Bank, the issuer of the Emblem MasterCard credit card, was immediately notified to issue my credit card and I was awarded the Special Credit of $209.07 as promised. Montery County Bank opened up an account for me and transfered the Remaining Balance of $237.07 and mailed me out my new Emblem MasterCard credit card. There were no accrued interest charged on my remaining balance of $237.07 and I received my credit card in the mail within the 4-6 weeks as promised.
As a consumer, I would personally recommend this program to anyone. It is absolutely fantastic. I can't say enough positive words to convey how pleased I am with my personal experience. Obviously, the person and/or persons that posted derrogatory information about the Emblem Fresh Start Solution Program DID NOT do their homework and follow the simple instructions in their welcome letter. The Bottom Line: "A person has to monetarily satisfy their debt before they would ever qualify to receive their Emblem MasterCard." Just because you respond to the program does NOT qualify you to receive the credit card. YOU MUST SATISFY YOUR FINANCIAL OBLIGATION TO THE DEBTOR.
Anyone with half a brain knows that there are Federal and State Banking Regulations and Consumer Protection Agencies in place to protect the consumer and that if this was a scam the Feds would have closed this operation and their affilliates down a long time ago.
Emblem Fresh Start Solution Program, Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC and Montery County Bank my congratulations to you for putting together such a fantastic program. It could not have been more ingenious! Thank You!
