It has been over a year since these scoundrels have left sharp aluminum edges exposed on the windows that they installed.  Well over a dozen times they were supposed to have someone correct the defect.  Just as many times we have taken time off from work sitting around awaiting their arrival.  There was an occasion when an employee came and attempted to use caulk and painters' tape to fix the problem...needless to say, that was unacceptable.  We've gone through the process of getting the Better Business Bureau involved but after 5 or so attempts there is nothing more that they can do besides give the company a bad rating(which Encore already has).  This is the worst experience we've had dealing with any so-called professional business!  I am truly astonished that they are still in business.  Numerous times we've been told ," You mean no one has come out there yet to fix your windows? Kevin, our window guy is going through a divorce right now and it's really a tough time." or " We'll have someone out there tomorrow at 1pm." followed by " He didn't show up, huh? well let me check on that for ya. We'll give you a call back."  More often than not, we received no call at all. It's like they're waiting for us to forget or just say screw it.  We've paid them in full, and this issue is still unresolved. If nothing else comes from this report, just know, this is NOT a company with whom anyone should do business.  Just check their BBB report, it speaks for itself! Do not be fooled by words or prices.  I truly would not recommend them to my worst enemy!

We got ripped off!

This issue has been resolved since this was filed. The windows were installed properly--insulated, caulked, and capped.  They were highly specialized products, black exterior and white interior.  In fact the job looks so good we actually have pictures of it in our job portfolio.  Further, this customer was informed of a difficult marital situation involving the installer that did the work.  While it took us a while to actually solve the problem, due to the marital situation of our crew, we would schedule a time with this customer and find out 2 months later that the service was not done.  So maybe the service was not as important as he is stating in his report. We also were supposed to do a roof, per the contract, and this customer did not stand by his written commitment to let us do this as well.
