In May 2008 My husband and I replaced all of the windows in our home through Clearview Window Company in Valrico, FL. The company hooked us up with Enerbank USA in Salt Lake City , Utah. The loan gave us 1 year with no interest. The loan was for 5900.
Enerbank sent us a coupon book . We sent $1000.00 in Feburary 2009. In March 2009 we sent a payment of 161.43 In May we called to get a complete pay off total . The exact figure that I was given was 4038.57 .We sent a check to them. I was totally confident that the loan was paid in full.
We recieved a letter in January 2010, the letter was dated on December 2009, that we owed 1814.49! We called Enerbank USA and the customer service person told us that when we sent in the 4038.57 it was 700.00 short. and that we owed 1114.49 for interest on the 700.00 that we did not pay before the 1 year deadline for no interest. The interest is acrueing daily!!! Why did it take so long for them to let us know!!!!!
We would have glady payed the amount if we had known the real pay off total. We depended on the customer service person to do their job.
