(Phone Harassment charges) over the return of a car under warranty with Joe Myers Ford.
1. I have had transmission repair at Joe Myers under warranty several times during the yr I purchased my 2003 Mustang
2.This time after 1 week in a enterprise rental car paid for by Joe Myers. I was told nothing wrong with your transmission. It makes a grinding noise going into reverse. My son was told that reverse gear is not synchronized. Joe Myers GM and Ford rep said nothing wrong at 5:30PM. Joe Myers said will not pay for 1 more day on rental even though agreed to meet next day with FORD REP.
3. I leave to go eat and go to hotel where I work.
4. Call from enterprise girl says return the car I say don't bleep in call again "I'll be there tomorrow" MY CAR IS NOT DONE!!
5. call from officer
6. 2 hours later return to dealer (Joe Myers Ford)
7. I am arrested in just 5 min for phone Harassment
8. Pick up my car next day from Joe Myers. They refuse to finish the job.
9. My lawyer just called says this isn't the first time they have done the exact same thing!!! 3 more cases just like this!!! Just waiting to go to court have not pleaded in my case yet.

10. Today I spoke with VP of Enterprise Houston Texas said he believed this was misunderstanding. And that the girl did not clearly understand what you said! WOW/pretty scary

The car is sitting still!!
And grinds so loud that its embaressing that this dealer ship can just put this one off.
(like you just did) (even though you haven't heard it.
I was told by and engineer it was syncronized??
Any way 2 second gear is synronized and was repaired at 20 thous mile??

Nearly all manual transmissions do not have synchronizers on the reverse gear. So what does this mean to the driver? It means that if anything inside the transmission is still moving when you attempt to shift into reverse, the gears will grind. This is a NORMAL consequence of the design of the transmission. You need to push the clutch pedal all the way down and bring the car to a complete stop before shifting to reverse. This will prevent griding the gears. There may be a very slight noise because the clutch drags a little, but that really won't damage anything. If such dragging happens, it can be reduced by shifting to any forward gear first, then with the clutch still pressed down and the car stopped, immediately go to reverse.
Unless major grinding occurs even if you follow these procedures, I would be inclined to side with the dealer that there is nothing wrong with the car (other than it being a Ford).
