at its best!

I rented a car at Enterprise Rent-A-Car back in May 2012 without any issue from La Guardia, and then dropped it off in Newark.  I checked it out with an attendant, and checked it in with an attendant.  Both said "Looks good."  Then over 5 months later I just received a letter claiming that I owe them $501.00 on my account balance.  At first I thought this was an honest mistake by Enterprise.  But after talking to them, it is clear that this organization is completely dishonest.  Even their customer service staff said that "this happens all the time."   She admitted that often times these are bogus attempts by the sites to make extra money.

What is baffling, is that they have never called me (Even though they had my cell phone #), never wrote a letter (You can't rent without an ID, so they had all of my information), in fact I even rented from this company again in July and they never mentioned anything to me then either!!!   How screwed up could they possibly be.  Supposedly they are sending me all of the details on this, but I have already told them that I will pay ten times this amount to fight this through the court system so I can expose the dishonest nature of this company.

Not only will I never rent from Enterprise Rent-A-Car again for the rest of my life (calculate the money you just lost on that Enterprise - 10 times a year X 40+ years!!!), I am going to make it a mission of mine to try and tell EVERYONE I know and who will listen about how dishonest this company is.

It is really sad that in today's competitive rental car industry that 1 company (ENTERPRISE) has to resort to cheating and stealing from their own customers to try and survive.  What a sad, sad state this company must be in.

If anyone reading this has had similar experiences with ENTERPRISE and their dishonest business tactics, please share them...
