I rented a Cargo van on the 3rd of march 2014 for a week. I went back to return it on the 10th. I went inside to give them the key, as usual I stayed inside while the manager went out to check on it. He came back and hes like you are in trouble. I was shocked. I didn’t know what he was talking about. I asked him what happened, he told me that theres a dent on the van . I rushed outside to check it. I couldn’t even see it because of the dirt and mud on the bottom of the van, he told me where it was as if he knew about it before I even rent the van. I cleaned the dirt off with some water inorder to feel it. It was a small dent with a black mark on top (pictures available upon request). I told the guy that I never did it since I was the only one driving the van and I know where I parked it and been on my drive way the whole time that I wasn’t driving it. He totally ignored what I was trying to tell him and wrote the report and made me sign it inorder to file the claim. I contacted the area manager hoping the he can help me out, we met up and he told me not to worry about it, enterprise is a company that cares about their customers and blablabla. He told me even if they were to fix it and charge you it wont be more than 500$ because it is barely seeable and not worth a fight with a customer. I asked him to update me on what is going to happen which he never did. Weeks later I received a letter from enterprise asking me to pay them 2589$ for fixing the van which includes  $1669 damage, $75 administrative fee and $845 Loss of use.  I rented the van for $294 for a week am not really sure why they charged me 845$ does that little dent take 3 weeks to get fixed??? Not only that $1669 for that dent to be fixed???? They didn’t have to replace any parts it was just a small dent, and what pissed me off the most is that they fixed both sides of the van (Passangers and drivers side) while on my claim it only says that I hit the passangers side. I offered the manager to take the van and fix it on the same day I was returning it back since I heard a lot of bad reviews and how Enterprise try to rip their customers off if something like this happens with them.  The manager turned down the deal and this is what happened.   The Branch manager is Maran ( Pharmacy and Eglinton location in Scarborough) and the area manager is Sid Rana. They are both crooks and trying to fool me. They don’t pick up my call and left me hanging  there till they charged me the full amount. I tried to dispute it while I contact Sid but he didn’t follow up, and asked Maran at the end of the day to contact me and tell me that I hold FULL resposibility for the damage.
