This guy had a crew of contractors come out and do the epoxy floor coating on my garage. The guys show up in unmarked vehicle. I thought that was strange given the professional image they try to portray on their site. They roll the epoxy on and the owners dad(Robert), distributes the flake. They tell me not to walk on it for twenty four hours and that they will be back next day to roll the clear on it. Next day they show up and now off excess flakes. I notice a large patch that was missed with the epoxy layer. Robert tells me we'll have to redo the floor and start over for the best results. He bad mouths the contractors his son justin enke hires calling them white trash. At this point I realize that these guys sent into my home were obviously not professionals. Robert calls Justin and tells him about the problem and recommends to him they re-roll the epoxy. Justin shows up on the job half an hour later and says that they will distribute more flake to cover it up. They roll the clear and use that to make the flakes adhere to the floor. I'm the homeowner and have no clue of how this process is to be applied. So I'm thinking they ate doing it correctlyand my floors would be fine. So it's looking good and I make the idiot mistake of paying cash in full before they are finished. So now the clear/gloss is covered up with excess flakes. They went from a light distribution to what is called a full broadcast. They tell me they will return to blow off excess flakes and finish job. They never returned I ended up cleaning up the excess flake by blowing it and then using my shop vac to lift them. When they blew the flakes, they blew them all over my flower beds and driveway. I have tried getting them to come back and they refuse saying they have me extra flakes for free. My response to them is that they did that as a short cut to fixing the mistake his guys made. Run don't walk from Justin and his so called business.

Potential clients!

AUTHOR: Danny Garza - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 08, 2014

Potential clients please do yourself justice and Google their company name for reviews to see that it is not just a few. They aren't registered in Texas and they have no real location. In other words once they get their money you will never see them again. It's easier to doa good job the first time! Justin will eventually figure this out!

Never use this company! I too was ripped off

I too was ripped off by this company. They started my work in June and didn't finish until late July 2013 the floors were ruined by these people. What I have found out about this company, the owners name is, Justin Enke, and the business names he calls himself is: Epoxy  Floors Houston and AAmco Garage Floors are not even registered DBA names in the State of Texas. Which means, they are listed on their websites as a real business but they are not listed under the Office of the Secretary of State,Corporation Division and the Office of the State Comptroller. Here are the numbers if you dont believe me: 512-463-5555 State Corporstion number and the State Comptroller DBA number is 800-252-1386. What this means is you can't sue him if you can't find him. These business names are not REAL!  Please, dont get ripped off like me.

Hmmm...

So you admit you lied. About the free job and my supposed dislike of the color of the floor. Both of those are incorrect. Picking a color is not a science. And if I were to do it again it would still be gray. If you're so worried about your rep being hurt then why didn't you take the three weeks I gave you to come out and address your problems. Instead you choose to prank call me and harass me with your calls and texts. You're not a professional and neither are your actions.

I'm fixing to post pics of the actual floor. I truly believe a picture is worth a thousand words. I know how hurtful these reviews can be which is why I gave you three weeks to fix this. When doing this type of job the final layer is s clear over the flake. You have never come back to do the final layer. Like your dad said" it would have been cheaper to start over with a different crew." His words not mine. I'm still pen to having you come and fix this if you so choose otherwise this is all you'll get from me.

Clarification of rebuttal

Clarification of rebuttal
The reviewer is correct, they did not explicitly ask for a free redo of the job; however, we felt that was the direction it was going. We apologize for the confusion.

The reviewer is also correct; we do not have hundreds of employees and are a small business operation. Our individual employees do not have the luxury of hiding behind the name of a large corporation, and are subject to personal criticism, which is why we took the time to write a rebuttal on this website.

It is this great country which allows freedom of speech, and websites like these to allow an open dialogue for both parties. Unfortunately, accusations of scam artists can severely hurt a small business and its employees who dedicate themselves full time and rely solely on this trade.

They try to sound so professional when they are in the spotlight but just let them in your home or place of business and see what happens!

To all who are potential clients: Message me through this website and I will be more than happy to send my photos, complete text dialogue from day 1, and call records where Justin(very childishly) tried to block his number and prank call me at 10:50 pm one night. He is still lightyears behind on technology. Attached are a few of my photos.
I paid for the medium distribution of flake and clear coat(to be applied the following day). They returned to apply clear the day after the initial visit and that is when Robert his dad(at least that is what I was told by both Robert and Justin. Could also be another of their lies. They do have plenty of them I see), told me that they would have to redo the floor because there was spots that the crew had not applied the epoxy correctly. He called Justin to tell him and instead of Justin agreeing, he tells Pops(Robert) to apply a heavier distribution of chips. Well they end up rolling the clear and using the clear to adhere the additional flakes. This method is incorrect which is why the epoxy is laid first as it has a much stronger adhesion for the flakes. Robert ends up adding so much flake that it ends up all over my driveway and grass as proven by pics I took. Robert says he would return to blow off excess as there would be alot of it due to the redistribution of chips. Well they never showed up again and after multiple calls(only response from them were in the form of texts), I have decided to 1. Block their number since Justin refuses to man up and instead reverts to childish acts such as prank calling. 2. I am intending to pursue this in a claims court just as soon as all of my transfer is complete.
There is no doubt of the color I wanted for my garage. All I asked them to do was come back and lay clear over the additional flakes that were laid the SECOND day. These were their failed attempt to correct a mistake made by THEIR contractors as they have no employees. I had to blow out the excess flakes and there was no clear under patches of them. This guy is a crook and I can prove it to whoever would like to see my evidence. I never asked them to do the whole job over, just apply the final layer of clear which would have been done the second day had their contractors not messed up on the epoxy application. They are a true fraud. I gave them a chance to make it right and instead he tells me of how he has several attorneys on retainer and is going to sue me for this report. Funny thing is I have yet to see a subpoena from either one of his attorneys. Besides it is my right to freedom of speech and duty to make the public aware of one more ripoff artist!

Services Provided by Epoxy Floors Houston

AUTHOR: Epoxy Floors Houston - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 11, 2013

We appreciate the feedback and strive our best to provide great service. The installer referenced in this review is no longer employed by Epoxy Floors Houston (nor is related to us as the reviewer suggests).

Unfortunately this was a case where we could not meet the exceedingly high expectations of a customer, compounded by borderline harassment from the customer by means of numerous phone calls and many text messages received well beyond normal business hours (midnight).

As the reviewer indicated, we made multiple return trips back to the residence to address the customer concerns and had reached an amicable finalization of the project as demonstrated by his payment in full (we do not charge until customers are satisfied and the job is completed).

At this point we felt the customer regretted their choice of paint and flake color and was not pleased with the aesthetic outcome (although we did our job), and was trying to force us to redo the entire job for free.

To potential clients, please do not hesitate to ask us for referrals for both commercial and residential jobs.  Unfortunately, only the few rare unsatisfactory experiences are published online, and not the several hundred great projects we have serviced for nearly ten years.
