I have been trying to get my free credit report from Equifax since, June 23.2011. One of the questions asked about me said I have a mortgage loan that was taken out last year. I NEVER had one I am a military wife and we always live on base housing. I have gone back and forth sent them more information made phone calls numerous times, contacted the BBB where Equifax asked me to mail them my information AGAIN. I refused and the BBB couldn't do anything more to help me.
I filed a complaint with the FTC. I called Equifax again and they apparently updated my information and sent me a report and gave me a confirmation number. I later found out the confirmation number was false. I never received a report.
I later contacted a lawyer and he told me to call one more time which I did this past Monday, and was told my information did not match their records and there were discrepancies in my report. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that the supervisor was in another call and she would send me my report, Well today I received my "report" there is nothing on it! which makes no since, since the other CRA's have two pages of information cause I have credit with companies.
I will be calling my lawyer first thing tomorrow morning to see wth is going on.

that are in the verification process for the free annual credit report.
They are NOT saying you have this loan. As I recall, they will list several possibilities and you select which one applies to you or none of the above if they don't
They really aren't trying to deny you report or Rip you off.
I get one report a year from each bureau and have had not trouble.
Good luck and forget that lawyer...it will just be embarassing.
