i received an unusual phone call from a man named Ben Wesley. He informed me that i was chosen to receive an $8000 government grant. He was speaking very fast and had an accent. He asked how i wanted to receive the grant (thru bank account, debit card, or prepaid card). it sounded too good to be true. i am a stay at home mom and i wasn't sure how they even received my info. i gave them a # to a prepaid mastercard that we have never used. this man then gave me my "grant approval#". he told me i needed to call his supervisor to receive my government grant. when i called the number(202-808-3724), a voicemail picked up for an Eric Carter. right then i knew this was a scam. do not fall for this. i was stupid enough to believe i was the lucky one chosen to receive money, but it was all a scam. i am reporting this to the credit card company and cutting this card up.
