Remodeling Services, Eric Mafnas is not a professional company. If you want a professional job done I would call someone else. Let me start from the bid process. The bid went well, I got a fare price for the work I needed done. I was informed that he had a crew of 6 and the job would take 2 weeks. We signed a contract, I purchased all material for the job, and he picked it up and brought it to the house and started the work. The first day he showed up with himself and I think three guys, they done most of the demo work and framed and roughed in the pantry I was getting built. I was impressed with all they had got done and how it was looking. After that day work was slow and during the job there were never more than three guys there at a time. At the end of week one there was only one guy there doing work on tile. This took him a little over a week to do as he was there by his self. I never rushed them because time really wasnt a factor I just wanted the job done correctly. I had to go after more material at least three more times because he hadnt got enough paint etc. I was told on the second or third day that he doesnt haul off the scrap or demoed material that it was up to me to do so. I was surprisedd by this because this is something I didnt think should have to be in a contract, its just common practice. I have never hired someone to do a job before that when they were done I had to get rid of their garbage. I told him okay but I needed them to put the excess trash in bags (that I purchased extra) that I could pick up myself. He agreed and the slow paced work continued.

After job was coming to an end I told him I couldnt pick up the bags as they were too heavy and he said he would get that fixed and take some of the weight out of them and rebag. This was never done. I done it myself later. When the job was almost done he asked me if I could give him the final payment so he could pay his guys and I agreed and done so. He returned to the house at around 8 pm and stayed till midnight working by himself. He left and I was pleased with the work. Shortly after I had texture falling off my ceiling and started looking at the work a little closer and seen tons of stuff that was just horrible. I will post some pictures of this work. I made a list and tried calling and sent him some of the pics. I got no reply; I then called with no answer. I then sent a text message which I still have saved telling him he wasnt a professional, this time I guess I struck a nerve and he called me back saying he broke his phone and does so a lot and set up a time to come fix it.

On that day he never showed up and we set another day. He came with himself and one guy to do the repairs. I did yard work to stay out of their way. I looked at the major things and it was ok work and I would have to do some touch up paint myself later. The next day I checked out a patch job he done in my daughters room that had cracked and sucked in leaving an indention in my wall. I then again took a picture and sent it to him with no reply. I then called again with no answer. I guess his phone was broke again so I sent him an email saying I was going to get on here and warn others about his work quality. He called me back this time saying he will file a lawsuit against me for slander if I do so.

I guess I will be going to court if he decides to take me there. Beware of Eric Mafnas and his smooth talking ways. If you want a professional job done call someone else. He is really good at the first 80 percent of the job. He just doesnt know how to finish. I will upload some of the work he thought was good that I had to get him to come back and fix. I will also upload some of the pictures of the work after he fixed it and you be the judge of it. I will fix it myself before I let him come back to my house. Tile looked awesome then it was grouted poorly. The hard work looked beautiful and then they screwed up on the finish work. Its a shame. I will post some of the pictures that I took

Today. I hope this makes your decision easy. I wasnt looking for a million dollar job just $7000.00 worth of labor. There was no buget on materials he was given all he asked for. I had whole bags of grout in the trash. I could go on but hopefully you get the point.
