Complaint Review: Escondido Auto Supercenter/Cisco
Escondido Auto Supercenter/Cisco855 N. Broadway St Escondido Ca 92025 Escondido, California United States of America
Escondido Auto Supercenter/Cisco Cisco increasing registration and license fees, working the numbers, not disclosing optional products to consumers, specially spanish speaking Escondido, California
I worked there for 45 days only, was able to sell about 30 cars, made about $$10,000+ in 45 days and i am very greatful with Jon, the manager for giving me the opportunity to work there in this difficult time. The business owners are Joe lauer and Bill lauer. Jon is the general manager(GM).
it is important for the reader to know the names and titles of these people so YOU, THE READER AND CONSUMER can understand the seriousness of my complaint and why i am recommending you, the consumer, to stay away from this place until the owners decide to ACT and train their sales people to have integrity and ethics and to be fair to Spanish Speaking costumers and inexperience buyers, or first time buyers.
At the time I was there, there were 2 other sales people, Cisco and Rey, Cisco had more experience than me and Rey, and he was also our manager on the weekends when JON was not there. The first three weeks i was there everything seem perfect, Cisco was training me and was getting 50% on all my deals, which I think is totally fair because he was and is still working by commission, but the last 3 weeks i was there, it was not funny. Since i became Cisco's biggest threat as far as losing half of the vehicle sales that he was making, in other words, bacause I started selling the same number of cars that he was selling before i got there, he was very immature and jealous of my success, and started to create this negative immage of me on Jon and Rey's mind. the only difference between Cisco and I was, that I was making way more mistakes on the paperwork because i was there for only 45 days with 3 weeks of training and did not have the same experience on paperwork that he had.
he started harrasing me every day accusing me with JOn, the manager of things that i did not say or of things that i did not do, but Jon believed him more than me, eventhough it was a conflict of interest because Cisco was a sales peson and at the same time he was being my manager. Jon never got a complaint about me from one of the costumers that bought, except from one costumer that got very upset because she did not get approved and had to drive 45 minutes to get to us.
THIS IS WHAT I SAW
I saw a few irregularities, in dealing fairly with certain types of costumers, but i am not going to list them all, my objective is not to take it on the dealer, my objective is to make sure some people that work at the dealership get a call or a letter from the state district attorney or the department of Motor Vehicles for deceptive practices. Below are two real life scenariios.
True Story #1
TAKING ADVANTAGE OF SPANISH SPEAKING COSTUMERS
This is a very upsetting story, and i feel sorry for all the people that have dealt with this individual because in their mind, they think they got a good deal, but they just got ripped off!
The 2nd week i was there a person that does not speak English comes in and says, "I want to buy that Tacoma , can you tell me how much down and how much is my monthly payment going to be?", CISCO REPLIES, "Sure, I can help you with that, come into my office and i will work some numbers for you". Once in the office Cisco does not let the costumer look at the numbers because Cisco is including all the optional products(GAP and Warranty) in the price and monthly payment without even asking the buyer if he wants them or not. In the end the buyer agrees on a monthly payment, not knowing that Cisco has just added two optional products that the buyer did not have to get. The buyer is happy because he doesn't know how to read and he is putting his trust in this individual. I do not know for sure, but I think that if the DMV or anybody else calls all spanish speaking previious costumers that have dealt with Cisco, and ask them if they know what GAP means, and if they were told they had the optiion not to buy it, the costumers would have no idea what the term GAP means.
True Story #2
INCREASING FEES TO MAKE YOU THINK YOU GOT A GREAT DEAL
On Saturday, february 16, 2013 a costumer is buying a BMW Mini Cooper and asks for a discount on the price. Rey, one of the sales persons goes in Cisco's office and says, this guy wants a discount on the price. Cisco replies, "Don't worry, this is what you do, Simply incease some registration and license fees and then tell them that because you like them you are going to reduce the fees and that they will save $300 to $400..
The buyer is going to be very happy because in his mind he is saving a few hundred dollars, but in reality, he is not saving anything". Rey goes back to his costumer and does exactly what Cisco instructs him to do. The next morning Rey is bragging about how he was able to make the sale and I tell Cisco, that is deceptive practices. Cisco replies, "What? you are crazy, i learned that from JOE Verde, and then he goes on to say Jon, the manager told me to do it like that, when he told me that JOn, the manager told him to do it like that, i did not believe him, but I knew i was soon going to get fire soon because Cisco has a lot of influence over JON. I told JON and Joe the next day what these two guys did and how they used deceptive practices, but Cisco and Rey are still working there, so i am assuming JON and Joe agree with everything Cisco is doing.
In the end i got fired and went back to doing real estate, i asked to talk to Bill, one of the owners because eventhough, I only talked to him twice, i could tell he had more leadership than JOe and Jon together, but i never got his number, so I wish Escondido Auto Supercenter the best, and i have nothing personal against the dealership, we all make mistakes and have to take rsponsability and make things right that's all.
