For anyone looking for a Boxer Puppy Please stay away from Euro-Star Boxers in Hyndman, PA ( Staci Holbrooke- owner). I purchased a 100% European Boxer from Staci Holbrook at Euro-Star boxers in August of 2013. When I picked up the puppy I immediately noticed her chest bone seemed odd but just figured she was a puppy and she would grow into it. The next day I took my puppy to my local vet in Pittsburgh where he immediately was concerned about where I got the dog from and him along with 3 other vets diagnosed her with a deformity of the chest cavity called a pigeon chest. I immediately contacted Staci to tell her what my vet had told me about my puppy and should told me my vet was “inexperienced” and didn’t know the boxer breed well and that Euro Boxers have a broad / deep chest cavity and she was fine. I believed Staci and moved on from hit. Then in January I took my pup to get spayed at 7 months old and she passed away about 5 minute after surgery. The vet didn’t know what could have went wrong and said this was very uncommon. I of course was devastated but what I found out next was even more devastating. Staci didn’t disclose to me or any other families who purchased a puppy from her that the father of the litter Abel dropped dead at only 18 months old due to a severe heart condition and the mother Sierra also was found to have a heart murmur/condition. When I confronted Staci at EuroStar about this she admitted to the health conditions in email that I still have today. She said the puppies were “ fine” even though the parents were both very unhealthy. When I contacted my vet they said that this explains why my puppy cardiac arrested at such a young age during a simple procedure considering the health conditions of both parents. Staci kept my $1000 she charged me for the puppy and didn’t care she lied to me and everyone else. Stay away from her and her dogs she is bad news and has caused heart ache to a lot of families including myself who have lost their pets at such a young age due to her ignorance.

to the breeder

AUTHOR: Shay - (USA)

I dont know anything about the consumer or the breeder.  I am looking for a Boxer breeder and come across this article and read everything posted.  My comment is to the breeder.  I cant be sure of the condition the dog was in or what caused his death.  Without hearing from the vet neither can you.  Why would you offer a replacement puppy to her?  That tells me either you knew the puppy had medical issues and are admitting guilt or you are willing to give a puppy to a questionable home just to get her off your back.  The type of breeder i'm looking for would make every effort to find out what caused the dogs death before giving her another dog.  For all you know at this point she could have done harm to the dog causing its death and you are ready to give her another.  Again, i'm not saying who was wrong when it comes to the dog at hand.  For all I know both parties loved that animal and did the best they could for him.  For future dogs sake I hope you dont just hand out dogs to satisfy a customer without knowing what they may have done to a previous pet.

It was a typo. Geez

AUTHOR: Euro-Star Boxers - ()

I meant to say "They are not FULL siblings". They have different mothers, with different lines. And yes line breeding is a very accepted practice.

Absurd!

AUTHOR: KMcKenzie - ()

I find this report rather amusing. I own a puppy from this same litter. Stacy was very professional, honest and a pleasure to deal with. I visited her home and all her dogs are very well cared for. My puppy has undergone two surgeries, one for ears and one for neutering. Both surgeries went well and my boy is happy and healthy. I'm not sure why you think your puppy should be replaced, seeing the point Stacy made it clear you would not provide proof. How does she know the dog even passed, you could be lying.  Even with proof that the dog passed, I would think that any breeder would require proof that they are at fault. As far as the half siblng breeding, lots of breeders do it, it's called line breeding. It's a rather common thing actually. When I asked Stacy about the pedigree before purchasing Axel, she openly told me about the line breeding. Being in the dog business for 25 years, I knew it was no big deal. I also asked Stacy for refrences, I spoke with her veterinarian as well as two other buyers. All had nothing but wonderful things to say. I am planning on adding another Boxer later this year and there is absolutely no question it will come from her, she is a wonderful breeder that loves her animals.

Just when you think you've heard it all

AUTHOR: MJ2010 - ()

Please say you're kidding or are you really that stupid?  Abel and Sierra aren't siblings?!!?! LOL hahahahhahaha Please GOOGLE Definition Of Siblings Since You Apparently Have No Clue What That Means... Better Yet Dig Out Their Pedigrees And Tell Me Who is Listed As The Dad On Abels And Who Is Listed Again As The Dad On Sierras?! Hmmm that right there sweet heart is where you get the wonderful word "siblings" sorry to burst your sorry little bubble yet again! Go hammer another nail into your coffin.

Point blank staci is wrong but is so ignorant she'll never admit she is wrong. This poor family is not only out 1000+ for that poor puppy but yet heart break and staci scores a big whopping 1000 dollars for selling a dead puppy. Hope she sleeps well at night with that money because we all know if it was the other way around she'd be out for blood.

Hope others do their research and Google her name before ever thinking of sending her a deposit on a puppy that may not make It to see its 1st birthday.. sad but she doesn't care and isn't going to see anyone else's side but hers

I actually feel bad for you......

AUTHOR: tinabell104 - ()

I think your misunderstanding the purpose of this post. Youre 100% correct (for once) I dont want a replacment puppy from you and at this point I dont even want my money back anymore. You made it pretty clear you werent going to give it to me anyways months ago when Myla died. That money will do NOTHING for me at this point the damage is already done.

What I wanted to do was warn innocent families like my own what you are capable of as a person and a breeder. I consider myself an honest person with morals and integrity and anyone that knows me would agree. Would people say the same for you?

All I wanted was a companion for my other boxer and for myself too. I got exactly that the most loving/sweetest puppy I could have ever asked for but then to have her ripped away from me for no reason is just not right and unacceptable considering the very important information you with held from me. She could still be here today if you were honest with us. I could NEVER sell puppies to a family and not tell them the Sire dropped dead and that the mother was found to have a murmur too... but i guess thats just what a good person would do.

I have spoke with multiple different breeders who heard my story and every single one of them said that they would have done anything and everything to fix the situation right when it happened and how horrible they felt for me... Maybe you should start following in your peers footsteps......

I dont want your money I dont want your replacement puppy and I will NOT waste anymore of my time on YOU! You know what you did and you will never admit to it anyways. I want you to know the extreme devastation you have caused me and my family when this all could have been prevented if you could have just been honest.

I dont have the time or energy to battle with such an incompetent, desperate, disgrace of a person any longer. I achieved my goal with over 200 shares that my facebook page received about Myla's Story.

Lets let everyone out there looking for a boxer puppy in Pennsylvania make a decision on if they would buy a puppy from you or not....... GOOD LUCK! :)

SHOW ME THE PROOF!!

AUTHOR: Euro-Star Boxers - ()

First off, Abel and Siera ARE NOT siblings! I did replace a puppy in the past however, I replaced him with a puppy from TOTALLY different lines. Abel was NOT the father of the replacement. The family decided they wanted an American puppy, not European. If my health guarantee is in fact no good, then why would I have replaced the other families puppy? They provided me the proof and I spoke with their vet, no questions ask! If you go back and read my health guarantee, it states any congential illness. If Myla had a heart issue that you can prove that would in fact be covered. AGAIN, you have still failed to provide proof of anything at all. If a family buys a puppy and lets it get hit by a car, should I cover that? My guarantee does not state I will replace the puppy if it dies for any reason. ALTHOUGH, I offered  to replace your puppy EVEN WITH NO PROOF, you refused. Again, if my health guarantee was no good, why would I do that? And you are still ignoring that fact that I also offered you a refund that you refused. There is only ONE REASON why you refuse a refund and that is because I am requiring proof from you and you have NOTHING stating she had a congential illness that could have even possibly caused her death. Like I said, she could have had a reaction to anesthshia, you have no clue. You are just upset and trying to point fingers. I am not going around and around about this. I am very sorry you lost Myla and I told you what I would do for you, you are not willing to accept another puppy or a refund so I have nothing else to say to you.

Just admit your mistakes

AUTHOR: MJ2010 - ()

Why wasn't the information disclosed in the beginning about the parents being siblings and both of their hearts bad and what kid of risk that is? Not to mention the dad dying at 18 months old you just lied right through your teeth to families and think of all the other puppy buyers who should know especially the one that already had a dead puppy and then you replaced it from same lines and same dead dad.. When are you going to take a step back and look at the damage you have done instead of keep on freaking talking about how wrong you aren't?

You didn't tell any of the puppy buyers about the hearts or the dad dying because YOU didn't want stuck with a litter of unhealthy puppies and YOU couldn't think of taking a loss for one second and giving those puppies away or a re homing fee of anything less than 1,000 because YOU are greedy and self centered. A puppy dying at 7 months old should be replaced no questions asked as your health guarantee covers that right?  But what good is your health guarantee. . You wouldn't want a dog from same person after they knowingly sold you a sick one that died no sooner than they started considering it apart from their family ...  aren't breeders supposed to be bettering the breed? Not screwing people over to get some money??

Keep on putting those nails in your coffin

I actually feel bad for you staci....

AUTHOR: tinabell104 - ()

I think you totally misunderstand the purpose of this post! For once you are right... I did not want a replacement puppy from you and still don't to this day. I also don't even want my $1,000 back either anymore. You made it pretty clear to me months ago that you weren't going to give it back to me anyways. I'm not desperate for money like you seem to be so keep the money.  The damage has already been done and NOTHING you can say, do, or give me will fix the heart ache and sadness you have caused me.

The purpose of this post was/is to warn innocent families like my own who are looking for a pet to become part of their family to be aware of you and the way you operate your business. I want nothing more than to warn families of what you are capable of.

All I wanted was a companion for my other boxer and for myself and I got exactly that.... The sweetest most loving boxer puppy I could have ever asked for but to have her ripped away from me suddenly because of your lies and negligence is just unacceptable to me. If you would have been honest about Myla parents health conditions she would still be here today.

I am a person with morals, integrity, and honesty and anyone who knows me personally would agree... Would people say the same about you? I actually feel sorry for you that you honestly think you did nothing wrong. I was taught to treat others as I would want to be treated and I would have never been able to lie to innocent families to make $.

I have been in contact with multiple different breeders who are disgusted by the fact that you didn't disclose any information to me about Mylas parents. They all agreed that they would have told me everything I needed to know about Abel's death and Sierra's murmur. Maybe you should start following in the footsteps of your peers.

I won't waste one more second of my life or time on such an irresponsible excuse for a breeder and a person. I did my job when over 200 people shared Mylas story on Facebook. Let's let everyone out there looking for a Boxer puppy in Pennsylvania make the decision on if they will buy a dog from you Or not.....

Maybe you should spend less time arguing with innocent buyers and more time focusing on how to not only be a more responsible breeder but just a better person in general... GOOD LUCK.... I hope one day you can change to be a better person.

Again, your facts are wrong!

AUTHOR: Euro-Star Boxers - ()

I did not try to get a refund for Abel, I didn't purchase him through his breeder. I co-owned him with another breeder, THAT is why he was so cheap. How much I paid is none of your business anyway. NOT ONE breeder in this world would replace or refund money on a puppy with NO PROOF! I told you SEVERAL TIMES WITH PROOF I'LL GIVE YOU A FULL REFUND! Even with no proof I was willing to give you a replacement. You said no,  that would not bring Myla back.. You stated you didn't want nothing from me. I just told you this again through email.

seriously

AUTHOR: MJ2010 - ()

1. You bred brother and sister

2. Siera was pregnant when you took her to the vet and was told she had a grade 3

3. You had Abel checked and then he died when these puppies were born

4. You knew there was a huge risk with these puppies from breeding brother and sister and then the risk there is breeding a grade 3 to a grade who knows since he dropped dead at 18 months old

5. You asked several for opinions and said you were giving them away to pet homes and educating all the owners the possible risk this breeding was

6. Then you lied yet again (shocking) and sold them all for $1,000 same price as what you just sold your last litter for

Do you think this is acceptable? You weren't refunded for Abel but sure in the he'll tried til you were blue in the face to get your measly $250.00 you paid for him... why was he so cheap hmm mm we know why now

Facts are straight you lied to make $

AUTHOR: tinabell104 - ()

What breeder wouldn't question a sudden death in a 2 year old dog that had produced puppies with murmurs in the past and not get a necropsy done.

And also failed to tell the buyers of two litters that the sire dropped dead.
You knew both parents that you bred were half siblings had heart murmurs and that the puppies would more than likely have heart problems. But yet you refused to disclose that information to any buyer and charge $1000 for puppies.

Why would I trust you and take a replacement puppy when you already lied to me time after time and replaced other peoples puppies with a replacement from Abel!

I can keep proving you wrong time and time again you just can't accept that fact that this is YOUR mistake no one else's!

Get your facts straight!

AUTHOR: Euro-Star Boxers - ()

No, I did not do a necropsy on Abel, I also DID NOT get any money refunded from him or a replacement. I'm not going to argue back and forth about this, I AGAIN offered you a refund or replacement. That's all I can do, I can't bring Myla back. You know that Myla was NOT found to have a heart condition,  I know you took her to your vet several times.. NEVER ONE MENTION OF A HEART PROBLEM OR MURMUR!!! They listen to their heart before surgery is done as part of the pre-op,  if your vet felt she had a heart problem or heard a murmur,  he wouldn't have done the surgery.

The truth hurts I guess.... Maybe you can do the right thing for once and contact all of the families that have Sierra and Abel puppies and let them know their puppies could be sick.... And give them their $1,000 back that  you charged all of us For sick puppies!

Lie after lie after lie

AUTHOR: MJ2010 - ()

staci, staci. Or is this really Staci?

Come on why dont you fianlly tell the truth for a change? Always having to come out and prove you wrong with fact after fact. there are several screen shots of you knowing those dogs were sick let alone brother and sister (desperate much) You said you were giving those puppies away to pet homes how you were so concerened about this litter and you will let ALL homes. then now find out you actually sold them let alone what you sold them for!!! How can you call yourself a breeder? You harrassed Abel and Sierras breeder until they refunded you for those dogs even after you bred Able how many freaking times and Sierra had a litter. that right there should have canceled any health guarantee out but we all know Staci get what she wants and kept on pushing it. But yet this FAMILY doesnt get anything but a choice to take another puppy from a horrible breeder and maybe risk that one dying on them as well having another heartbreak.. you are a COLD hearted person who is only out for themselves, but those who knew you already knew how you opperate. These people should sue you not only for that sick puppy but for pain and suffering for what they have gone through.. you would never know about a dog you loved dying on you because Abel was already replaced with Caliber before he even died. I bet you didnt tell these puppy buyers you already had puppies die that you replaced with ANOTHER Abel puppy.

STACI HOLBROOK is a scam artist and will do anything to get what she wants. including sell sick puppies and not give buyers any heads up

Hows come you sold your last litterf or same price as this sick litter? were those ones questionable too?

Breeder Should Have Disclosed Everything

AUTHOR: Gator1370 - ()

Staci.

What pet owner knows to get a necropsy unless the breeder requests one? Did you do a necropsy on Abel when he died at almost 2 yrs old? Curious, did you expect the breeder to refund your money for Abel and Sierra? How can you sleep at night knowing the puppies from this litter are sleeping in beds with children and could fall over dead any day? A good breeder would be mortified if this happened with any of their pups and would move heaven and earth to make it right but you don't seem to care. Go ahead and blame the buyer for not sending a necropsy when you knew both parents had bad hearts and the sire died before pups were born. You knew breeding half siblings with heart issues could amplify the problems but you refused to disclose this information because you didn't want stuck with puppies with bad hearts. Had you been a responsible breeder you would have told the buyers so they could inform their vets so precautions could be taken in any anesthesia situation. Just that info could have prevented this dog dying.

The list of lies go on and on

AUTHOR: tinabell104 - ()

Staci why arnt you addressing the fact that Abel dropped dead because he had a murmur and That Sierra had a heart condition too???????? u think that was important info to pass along to a buyer of their puppies??????? When we came to pick Myla because u pushed us to pick a puppy that was only 3 weeks old we asked to see Abel and u said he was out back! Another lie because you already had Caliber who is your new male....because Abel died....you lied straight to our faces that day and didn't even care!

Again wouldnt you be so upset if someone sold u a puppy and didn't provide you with this information on the parents????????

More lies

AUTHOR: tinabell104 - ()

Also forgot that 2 days after I brought myla home from u and took her to the vet where she was diagnosed with a deformity of the chest cavity she had double ear infections as well! According to u again ur vet said she was " fine"! Either your vet is blind or your a liar... I think we all know that answer. Her ears were black it took 2 weeks to clear up her infections in both ears another sign that u could care less about ur dogs... You probably never even took myla to the vet because u knew she looked different than the other dogs the paperwork from ur vet was so generic it said " puppies" it didn't specifically state it was my dog. If that dog was just at the vet like u claim he/she would have known her ears were infected which leaves me to believe u never took her In he first place.

Your w liar end of story

AUTHOR: tinabell104 - ()

Staci your quit honestly a liar and a complete joke! Your right I didn't want a replacement pup why would I accept another sick dog from you? Another LIE from u first you told me u would give my my money back if I could prove her health conditions which I could and still can and then in the next email u changed ur story that u would only give me a replacement pup which again I didn't want! So why would I go thru the hassle and heart attack of getting you all these documenta on my dead puppy when ypu had no intentions of refunding me? Your a scam artist a liar and a bad person why is if that over 20 boxer breeders have contacted me to tell me they all knew that Sierra and Abel were half brother and sister and that abel died rigt before Myla was born? everyone knows your story and how you operate your business.... Staci  as a breeder would u buy a puppy from someone if u knew that that dad died at only 2 yrs old and the mother had health problems too???? NO you wouldn't! You with held information from me and all the other buyers on purpose so u didn't lose out on $. You even admitted after I contacted you that after breeding occurred health conditions were found with both parents? Really well why didnt u tell me that so I could get myla the best care?  you know as a breeder if both parents have serious health conditions most likely will be passed down to the puppies but u didn't care Atleast u made a few thousand dollars and who cares who u hurt. I actually feel bad for u that you have no morals or a heart. Good luck in the future I hope moving forward you can be more honest and upfront with your customers and not lie to make money.  Hope all that money went to good use!

You forgot half the story!

AUTHOR: Euro-Star Boxers - ()

When you contacted me about this you could NOT provide me ANY PROOF and even with no proof I offered you another puppy. (I still have the emails saved for anyone that would like to see them) You told me you did NOT want another puppy. I also offered you a FULL REFUND if you could provide any proof at all that her passing was due to a heart condition or a hereditary condition. You could not provide me that because your vet never found her to have a heart murmur/heart condition. You also stated that you did NOT want a refund either!!! Myla was checked by 3 vets (I sent the paper from my vet home with you!) and cleared prior to her going home to you,  all said that her heart sounded great! You even took her to your vet to be checked when you first got her, he never heard a heart murmur either. As far as her chest bone, like I said she was seen by 3 vets and they all said she was very healthy and never said anything about her chest. You did not provide me nothing from your vet about her chest either! I understand that you are upset, and should be but since Myla didn't have a known heart condition without a neocropsy you DO NOT EVEN KNOW the true reason why she passed during surgery. It could have been a reaction to anesthesia. Surgeries can have complications, it is insane to blame her passing on me when you refused to necropsy to find the real reason!
