I Too Was Ripped Off By A Gypsy Psychic ...

it happened where I live which is San Diego, CA. Through a private investigator that I hired I was able to confirm she is a gypsy. Mind you, not all psychics are frauds and out there just to rob you of your money. And not all gypsies are frauds and out there to rob you either. It's the gypsies that are psychic readers for a living who are the frauds and out to get your money regardless of the means to do it based on mine and other victims' experiences. Refer to the website gypsypsychicscams.com. What frustrates me so much is the lax attitude of the police towards these criminals. They've become lame in pursuiting and apprehending them. Instead they blame the victims. Why, even the superior/chief of the detective assigned to my case with the SDPD told me over the phone that I 'willingly gave my money away'. How ludicrous is that???!!!! So that's why this gypsy family (surname is Marks) that has been operating in San Diego over so many years has been getting away with it all this time .... the police is just letting them! Well, I ought to complain to the District Attorney, the State Attorney, FBI, my congress man, etc. about this. But first I got to concentrate on getting my money back.

I won the case because she simply did not show to the scheduled court date of September 4th, 07.
The court released a judgment against her and I am going to file it this week.
She saw me at a local store and started calling me a psycho and said that she has gotten restraining order against me. She said where did you get my last name?

Ms. Ann was served by the private agency that I hired and she did not appear in the court. So, I won the case and the next step is to collect my money.

I am sad that you had this problem but I am happy that the person that responded could tell you who she was so you could file your lawsuit. Please let us know how it went because if you win your lawsuit then there will be hope for the others out there who have been scammed and think that there is no way for them to get there money back. I have heard too many stories of people that have had psychics take their money and then try to say that they do not know them but what makes it worse is these people feel that they have no outlet for getting restitution. So, please let us know how it went so that other people can change how things happen to them.

Ms. Ann called me on 8-02-07 and told be that she is back in town and she wants to settle. Although I initially said yes, the next day I informed her that I will not meet with her and see her in court. She states that she is not planning to come to court. I told her that that was her decision.
I had to pay again to have the sheriff serve her again because by law the defendant needs to know about the court date fifteen days in advance.
So, the new date is in September

civil lawsuit against Ann Yurkiw
Ann Yurkiw never responded to my letter. The post office staff attempted to call her for the last time in my presence. She said she will pick it up in the afternoon but never happened. So I have the documented letter now. I filed a civil lawsuit and had the sheriff serve her. She told the sheriff on the phone that she is in NY and can not show up for the courtdate 8-15-07. She told sheriff that she will contact me. Never happened.
I received a letter from judge Jo Brown show and one from judge Judy show to present my case against Ann Yurkiw.
I talked with couple of store owners next to her shop. One reports that there is something off about the couple and that she has sensed some strange activities around their shop and that Ann goes by different names.
wish me luck for my courtdate in Pasadena.
