EverCom has a block on my line and will not remove it. They say that I have to set up a plan through them in order to receive collect calls from my friend who is now located in Hoke County. They said that they weren't able to receive payment from my home telephone service, Embarq, for charges back in May when he was then, incarcerated at the correctional facility located in Swan Quarters, NC, for approximately $135 and that it woukd have to be paid before they removed the block. I told them as well as my phone company that my account was paid up in full to Embarq and that they should have received their payment. If they didn't then that was between them and Embarq. I also asked why did it take them so long to say anything. It took me not being able to recieve calls in September, when they blocked the line, and make inquiries at Embarq to find all this out. I didn't even know that this company existed until then. So, now what am i suppose to do; change my home number?

This is what I would do...Call CBS and ask for their fax number. Fax over a copy of the bill you received of the charges in question and the bill following that one that shows you have no charges owed for the previous month. Call your old telephone provider and let them know what CBS is claiming and demand they research it further. CBS should get back with you after 48 hours. If they do not, call customer service and ask them to follow up on the fax you sent.
If this still does not resolve your issue, please come back to this post and update your report. We all would like to know if all of these complaints are being resolved or not.
