I called Everest Cash advance to schedule a payment with a credit card. The customer service rep was hard to understand and took awhile to finally get my name correct and credit card number. I finally got the credit
card confirmed and rep said payment was taken. My next payday I noticed that my checking account had been charged the full payment. I called back Everest cash advance and asked why my checking account was charged and not my credit card.
The rep told me that my credit card was declined so they just charged my banking account. My banking account did not have the money to cover the charge hence why I used a credit card. I bounced checks and I had not money for several days until I could clear with my bank. My bank said it would take over 2 weeks to file and complete a dispute. There was nothing they could do in time to cancel payment. Everest Cash advance then told me to take out another loan to cover their mistake. I said verbal I agree only if you dont charge me finance fee. I told Karen in customer service that I agree and two write into notes 3 times. I asked her to confirm and she said yes and before I knew it I was transferred to a rep to set up new loan. I said I was not sure if Karen wrote into notes about not paying finance fee. I asked her to transfer me back to Karen to confirm I would take out loan and payback within 24 -48 hours of receiving the loan to cover Everest mistake. She said she did and transferred me back.
Once I received the 2nd loan and my account was cleared I called back several times to make my payment. They said Karen was not here and would call me back. Never heard back. Called again and said need to talk with supervisor and to give me name and good number to reach. Never heard back. Called again and asked
to speak with Karen a day later. Same thing to busy and gave number to call back. Never heard from her so I called the next day and finally got Karen.
Karen said she never said that they would not charge finance fee. I told her I was sure they recorded conversations and this was not the case. I then found out Karen was not a supervisor. When I ran into this problem I request a supervisor and she lied and said she was a supervisor. So I requested to speak with Supervisor and EDWARD S answered. I asked if he was a supervisor as I was mislead last time. He was very short and rude. Went through the whole line of this is a business built on making money and we would never agree to not charging finance fee. I said it this was my fault I would pay since it was not I would not pay you finance fee if it was 50 cents. Its the whole integrity of the business.
In the beginning they agreed to pay overdraft and NSF fee. I sent them my bank statement 2 x never heard from them . They said they called and left message but never heard one word from them. They said oh we did receive your statement but they would not accept it because it did not show my name or my bank statement. I said Karen and you said you never received my bank statement and now you are saying you did but it was not correct. EDWARD S said yes we told you this I said no you just did after you said I did not send it.
So now I have resend a bank statement that has my name on it and account number to a company I dont even trust to hold my bank account. The proof is in the pudding regarding their mistake.
1.They did not charge me NSF once my bank refused payment
2. They agreed to credit my banks NSF fee.
