Everest Moving & Storage Company are very unprofessional and they scam people out of their money. We wanted them to move our belongings out of storage in Connecticut and deliver them to our home in Georgia. They quoted us one price and then after getting there charged us nearly twice the original quote.  The driver was extremely rude. He screamed and cursed at me.  At one point, he refused to work any more.  He threw my belongings around and left the other workers to complete the job. He refused to take any of the mirrors that we had.

In Georgia, they didn't arrive on the day that they were supposed to arrive.  On the day that they  did arrive, they told us they would arrive between 12noon and 2pm.  They didn't show up until around 9pm that night.  After getting there, they refused to bring our stuff inside the house due to stairs fees, and unloaded it in the parking lot.  This was very upsetting for me since they were informed about apartment being 2 flights up. It's actually typed in on the quote that they gave us so the stairs fee should have been paid already. My family had to carry the stuff inside ourselves (which defeats the purpose of hiring movers in the first place).

Since they didn't bring anything inside the house, that means that they didn't set anything up.  They didn't arrange any furniture.  No assembly.  No nothing.  The office wasn't much help.  They continued to talk to the driver but nothing changed.

Days later, after getting everything situated in the house ourselves, we started to notice that things were missing such as boxes, clothing and jewelry.  we contacted the main number to complain about this.  We were told that everything was brought to us and that no other deliveries were mixed with ours, so our stuff couldn't have been delivered to the wrong location.  So as we continued to ask about a solution to our problem of missing items, the woman said she would contact the delivery that was made just prior to ours to see if they got our stuff by mistake. (A delivery that didn't even exist 5 minutes prior).  They stated they would contact the other people and call us back to let us know the outcome.  We haven't heard from them since!!!
