Everest University Florida Metropolitan University "Fake College" Internet

Everest University is a college that is not accredited with SACS, which means that 99% of all credits earned at this institution will not transfer to a real college like Florida, Florida State, Miami, USF, UCF, Saint Leo, or Georgia. The only credits that will transfer are the entry level math, English, and computer courses. Furthermore SACS schools (i.e. real schools) will not accept the credits from Everest University.

Everest University used to be called Florida Metropolitan University (FMU) from 1995-2008. FMU changed its name because a group of students sued FMU due to its lack of accreditation with SACS and the fact that their credits/degrees would not be transferable to a SACS school. The students also sued FMU because FMU advisers claimed that the credits and degrees would transfer despite the fact they clearly would not. Actually not even the community colleges will accept Everest of FMU credits.

Prior to 1995 FMU was called Tampa College and had to change its name in 1995 because a group of students sued Tampa College for the exact same scam.  Every few years this group of scam artists get sued by angry students that are under-employed or unemployed as a result of being duped into getting phony degrees that are worthless. Once this group of scam artists gets sued they change their name and settle out of court with the students, and in exchange for settling out of court the students get a tiny bit of their money back and a gag order placed on them for life.

Currently I have FMU credits that are worthless and have been fighting with Sallie Mae to get my FMU related student loans discharged since FMU is now closed, and since FMU lied about the value of their education in comparison to other institutions.

Do not take classes here, don't even think about it. Its a scam to trick the working poor into taking courses that cost more per credit hour then classes at the University of Florida. Save your time and money and go to your local Community College which is cheaper and is fully accredited.
