I spoke withsomeone which I gave alist of items to be moved which was told to me a price of $1833.00 which was explained to me the co bids low to keep moving cost down move from Va to Ct. on 7/11
Never heard from company until day of move to let me know they could not be there for 2 more days Talked with Sofi. I told her I had 30 more boxes, she said" no problem they would not charge me for the inconvenience of being 4 days late and there would be plenty of room empty trunk coming"The trunk came 4days late @10:30pm with a little flaslight. Had to return following day to finish now 5days late.The manager of the move said he knew nothing about the agreement to not be charged extra for extra boxes. I was now being charged double and the trunk was 1/2 full. I had to leave so many items behind. I had them wrap both mattress in special bags Was forced into signing paperwork for additional boxes before they would even load. What else to do at midnight on a saturday. I wasn't sure if my stuff would be delivered.
The truck showed up @ 9pm to start unloading 2 days later.Some items no longer had sticker with my info on it. I refused to pay the extra amount of $1500.00 since sofi guaranteed I would not be charged since they were 5days late which caused me alot of stress since I am a single woman doing this myself.Called her She was very rude,disrespectful, took no responsibility for this and lied saying she never made that agreement. I had to pay the extra to get my belongings off the truck. The inventory list had no matching numbers coordinating with items as well as missing items like mattresses.It was impossible to know if I got everything. The manager of the move was so disgusted with company and all problems people were complaining about- he took the extra cash I gave him for my stuff and took a bus from Ct back to Fla. He was only with them for a week. The reason they were 5days late he told me they had no crew.
2 days later unwrapped new $2000.00 mattress was soaking wet in plastic bag with terrible smell. Also found 3 boxes missing and a metal bookcase. Also have 3items of someone elses. Also numerous peices of furniture with huge scratches, dents.
I called company to report all this Ben spoke to me was very rude, questioning me as if I was making all of it up.He said he would send me a form to fill out by email, on 7/20. After 3phone calls trying to find some help finding my stuff, the form was sent 8/22. The only answer I got was my stuff could be in a storage unit in Maryland or NJ or someones garage.
I contacted sofi again 2weeks after sending a list of items missing by certified mail. The confirmation came back saying "screw u" below a signature. Again conversation with her nothing but lies and absolutley no regard for what they have done by damaging and losing items I have paid double for. Her answer was I dont know where your stuff is. Supposily the storrage unit was emptied and delivered. No one has reported having personnal items not belonging to them or has anyone asked about the items I recieved that I would like to return to rightful owner.

We can make a difference keep anyone else from having their personnel stuff stolen and ruined and having to deal with most unproffessional people that do not care at all about your possesions and will rip you off everyway they can, while lying about it.
