Please do not use Kevin Pierson dba Wood Fantastic.  New name to his company now is Exceptional Remodel.  This gentleman is not capable of doing a complete remodel job your kitchen or bathroom.  Please do not employ this man now matter how good he sounds or if he is the cheapest bidder on your project.  He will appear to be responsible contractor but he is not.  In the end he will leave your house torn up with nothing completed and he will have spent all the money that you gave him and use your money trying to straighten out his own cash flow problems. Then he will run away and not speak to you and tell you that his grandmother died or that he is out of town working or anything not to come and finish your job.  After further investigation of this man I found out that I am not the first person who has encountered problems.  This man has serious personal and financial issues that get descended on the customer making a remodeling job a disaster. .....  This man is not professional.  He is not licensed or bonded.  He does not write up any contract or agreement and asks for all his money up front.  He does not give any receipts for any of the money that he takes from his customers and he is a nightmare to deal with.  
 
That is what happened to me.  It is now the end of January 2013.  Mr. Pierson started working in November to put in new floors (approx 800 sq. ft.) in my laundry, kitchen, living and dining rooms.  It was at his suggestion that he redo all the kitchen cabinets from scratch with new Formica on the top.  He was going to reface the top cabinets with new doors. To this day my kitchen floor, the cabinets and the countertops are not finished.  He didnt finish the baseboards or the quarter round throughout my house.  The laminate floor was put over the old floor and not properly prepared so there is a lot of play in the floor.   He told me that he would fix the problem in those spots but he never did. I do not have the ability to cook meals since my cook top is in my garage where he took it out in November.  And most of the items in my kitchen are in boxes in my garage since the cabinets are not finished. 
 
He also was going to put in new sliding mirrored closet doors and a tile floor in my bathroom.  He tore the floor out at the beginning of December.  To this day it is still the way he left because I dont have any more money at this time to finish it.  When I couldnt come up with any more money after the last $3000 that I gave to him he suggested that he had some tile in his store room that he could probably use to do my bathroom floor.  I was wondering who and how he got the extra tile and what he probably did to that person to get it.  The cost of the tile for my bathroom was included in the last $3000 along with the mirrored doors to my closet.
 
He told me to give him $3,000 to finish my job at the beginning of December.  I gave him all the money that he asked for thinking that he would get my job finished in time for my son to come for Christmas.  He gave me another date about 7-10 days down the road and promised that everything would be done in time for Christmas.  I gave him the last $3,000 in cash on a Monday and by Friday he was having car problems.  When he left  the following Monday he also took materials that he had bought with my money, for the doors for my laundry room and pantry along with a huge roll of Formica to finish my countertops.
 
Needless to say I kept calling him repeatedly when he never came back or called me.  I had my son call him since he wouldnt return any of my phone calls and ask him to finish the project. He hung up after call from my son and immediately called my cell phone and left me a very nasty message.  He threatened me that if I did anything to him that he was going to make my life miserable.  I am not sure how much more miserable he could make me.  I dont have a kitchen, the floors are not done and my bathroom is totally torn apart and I dont have any more money to give him.  
 
 Two weeks ago on Friday Jan 16, I called him and blocked my number so he would answer.  He answered and when he figured out that it was me he was very cold and stated he was out of town working.  He told me that he would come and finish my house when he got back into town.  When I stated to him that what he did to me wasnt right he got real huffy and hung up on me.  This man is very unprofessional and there is no way I would ever let him back into my house. 
 
I am a senior citizen and a single female.  I live on a limited income with very few resources to gain large amounts of money.  I had actually borrowed this money to have this work done and feel cheated because I was taken advantage of by this unscrupulous person masking himself as a contractor.  If he didnt want to do the work he shouldnt have taken my money.  Its as simple as that.  He took my money promising to fix my house and disappeared.  That makes him a liar and a thief.  I think a better name for Mr. Pierson is CROOK.
