Experian InfoFCR.com CA EXPERIAN FREECREDRPT INFOFCR.COM CA Had a charge on my bank account they deny charging Allen Texas

I was a member of Experian freecreditreport.com and paying $8.49/month for my membership. This charge hit my bank account generally around the last week of each month. On 2/19/2013 I saw a charge for $19.95 with the description 1225 Experian InfoFCR.com CA. When I contacted the company's customer service, I was told twice that they didn't see any charges from them for that amount. I've since contacted my banking institution to dispute the charge.

I also cancelled my membership with Experian freecreditreport.com effective today, 2/26/2013. It's a very difficult process to cancel as the customer service reps constantly try to sell you something else. I had to finally, very loudly and very sternly interrupt the rep for the umpteenth time and told her I want it cancelled and cancelled now. 

The representative became very curt with me and said she would do it. I asked if there was a confirmation number or would I receive an email notifying me that my membership had indeed been cancelled. She said I would receive an email within 24 hours with my cancellation notification.

I thought, because they were one of the 3 credit reporting companies, I shouldn't have to worry about being ripped off. Wrong. I want to warn anyone else out there who thinks that a membership with Experian freecreditreport.com is safe. Beware!
