Extended Services Billing Incorporated(ESBI); Orbit Telecom Illicit Charges Teaneck New Jersey

In the past year our phone company switched from Sprint to Embarq. The reasons for this are not part of this rip-off though. Earlier this year, in June to be exact we extended our services with Embarq from just the phone to extended package of unlimited long distance with voice mail and DSL(Digital Subscriber Line) internet.

There is nothing wrong with the services of Embarq save that they have no customer service just like every other company.

Last month which was September 2007 on the bill from Embarq was a charge that by all rights should not have been up there. Embarq bills its customers on the behalf of this company. The company is Extended Services Billing Incorporated(ESBI).

The charge was $14.95 for a voice mail service provided by Orbit Telecom. Both ESBI and Orbit Telecom have the same phone number listed if a customer wanted to contact them. So presumably they have to share the phone.

These peculiar charge was taken up with Embarq's customer service which stated they would cancel the service. Well yesterday, October 26, 2007 the same charge appeared again. Embarq's customer service was called again. This time around thought Embarq's customer service stated that the charge by ESBI would have to be paid and it would be accredited to our next bill from Embarq.

Since Embarq couldn't take off the charge between September and October one can see why I have little faith in that happening.

Also according to Embarq's customer service I had somehow bought the service from ESBI and Orbit Telecom when I never heard of either company until September 2007. Because of that I believed my email account had been hacked into and I terminated that account. Now I regret that action.

So it heavily advised that someone please deal with Extended Services Billing Incorporated and Orbit Telecom.
