I recently purchased. A 1997 PONTIAC SUNFIRE FROM this seller AS SOON AS WE FINISHED THE TRANSACCION ON THURSDAY,JUNE 12TH, I DROVE OUT OF THE LOT & PROCEDED TO HEAD NORTH IN THE NJ TURNPIKE, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WASN'T SHIFTING PROPERLY,MY DASH/RADIO LIGHTS STARTED DIMIMING FOR NO REASON & MY HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING.
UNDER HIS EBAY DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM HE STATED, "This vehicle has a smooth shifting transmission. The engine has checked out okay. There appears to be no electrical problems with this vehicle. We promise to be fair and honest with you, and so in turn we expect the same". THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS VEHICLE DIDN'T MATCH WHAT I EXPERIENCED ON THE WAY HOME. ON 6/16 I E-MAILED THE SELLER DESCRIBING THE PROBLEM; NO REPLY.
ON 6/17 I CALLED, LEFT 2 VOICEMAILS; NO LUCK. ON 6/20 I TOOK THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC; THE TRANS,ALTERNATOR, O2 SENSOR & HEADLIGHT SWITCH NEEDED REPAIR/REPLACEMENT. ON 6/20 MY WIFE CONTACTED DAVID; HE WAS BUSY, NEVER CALLED BACK. ON 6/21 MY WIFE CALLED CHRISTY AND TOLD HER THAT MY MECHANIC WAS WILLING TO TALK OVER THE PHONE WITH ANY OF THEM;LAWRENCE TOLD HER TO TELL MY WIFE TO FAX A COPY OF THE ESTIMATE AND HE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT THROUGH THE LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED BY THE SELLER.
THE CAR THE SELLER SOLD ME WAS MECHANICALLY UNSAFE.THE SELLER ALSO ADDED ON EBAY,"WE PRIDE OURSELVES AS BEING AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE AND PROVIDING YOU W/ A QUALITY AUTOMOBILE," WE BELIEVE THE SELLER IS BEING DISHONEST DUE TO HIS ACTIONS,BY NOT ANSWERING OUR MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF JUNE.THEY WERE NEVER REACHED FOR COMMENT OR SOLUTION. WE CONTACTED THE WARRANTY COMPANY; WE'RE NOT COVERED!!THAT'S UNFAIR AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Don't purchase any vehicle from there!!! They also made derogatory statements and said, "go ahead and pursue this matter, you're going to lose!! We have several lawyers working for us!!!"
