A second chance?

At trying to get away with it this time? Employers have a right to know if they are hiring a person that can't be trusted. Do you think just because he was caught that he won't do it again? He will just be smarter at hiding it next time.
Your son is a THIEF, quit trying to find someone else to blame.

It is fortunate for your son that Family Dollar did not have him arrested. How would THAT look on his record. And that would be permanent, not going away after a certain period of time. We have to pay for our crimes, and your son will be paying for his.

Um...is it just possible no one will hire your son because he is a thief?
Restitution payment or no....he still stole (I'm assuming) either money or merchandise. Now, with all the people looking for jobs, do you think someone with a clean record would not be considered over someone like your son?
Do people deserve a second chance? Absolutely! But no one is required to offer it.
