FICOTW and St Lukes pretends to be a brick and mortar church in Georgia owned and runned by David Ford. This is all a lie. FICOTW is owned and operated by Lance Micklus who live in Vermont. Many people have placed interstate orders thinking they were dealing with a geniune church and never received there orders that they prepaid for.

David Ford, Lance Micklus and one who goes by Brother Lester on the board there, should all be investigated by federal and state law enforcement for all the crimes they have commited. David Ford pretends to have been ordained elsewhere and has the right to Ordain people online for free via their email. This is just a scam to get the people to order documents proving they are Ministers of God. They pay for and never receive the documents. Interstate fraud is all FICOTW is good for.

Stay away form this website and the people involved in it. These people are corrupted criminals. I hope that the FBI would go through all there files and compare it to what they state on their website. Also to go through all their paypal accounts to see all the money they have recieved and did not honor their obligations in what they were suppose to return for the money. Also, investigate each of their personal bank accounts to see how much they have actually deposited in their own accounts.

I've been waiting 5 months

AUTHOR: Bob0100 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, March 01, 2013

I have be waiting for 5 months for my certificates.  Rev. Ford was PAID five months ago.  He emailed the first month how busy he was.  He will no longer respond to ANY emails and I have received NOTHING in the mail.  I don't see how he can justify this.  A month to 6 weeks is fine but close to half a year?

I paid him for a DD as well.  I have received neither document.

Give peace a chance as Lord would want us to.

AUTHOR: James d. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 13, 2010

Every thing I said in my orginal report was the truth. Some of the comments people have made about my report are as dishonest as FICOTW and St Lukes which is the same place ran under two different names was when I filed this report.  I will add this and only add this because it is what I believe.  People can change, have they changed at St Lukes, I do not know.  But I will ask people to give them a chance to see if they have changed or not before you make up your mind just off of my report.  God forgives and so should we, but that does not mean be a part of something if it remains dishonest.  If it has not changed, then it is best to either stay and stand up for the true word of the Lord or move on it is your choice and what ever the Lord leads you to do, it is best to follow.  I will add this, if they have the same deacon, the same guy running it from vermount, I would say the place has not changed at all,  because I have never seen that many people change, the Lord guides people to serve his will only if they follow his will and not there own.   I do not believe in any way it is the Lords will for this place not to have ever faced any consequences for what they have done to people by promising things they never delivered.  Taking money for things they never sent.   That is the way it was when I filed the report.  I believe Brother Dave would be OK if Lance would leave him alone and he found a new Deacon, I believe he could actually make that place work. But as long as that Deacon and Lances rund the place through Dave, it will never be run by the Lord, just by manipulative people. Now I have stated facts with what I have dealt with in the past wth these people that I have mentioned and they do have a click there that if you say anything they do not like, Lance will delete your comment, so if you want to belong to a place that calls itself a church and is run by a tyrant being the Deacon and Lance, and pay for things you have ordered never to see them appear, then St Lukes is for you.  If you would like to belong to a Spiritual place that serves the Lord, unless it has changed, then you should run from there as fast as you can. If it has changed then Praise God, the finally actully  learned about God.  This is in reponse to all those who have commented on this HONEST REPORT!

An Offer Refused

AUTHOR: Dr Trevlac - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, June 13, 2010

I recently offered "Reverend" Ford a deal.  I told him I would stop posting about his fraudulent activities if he would just stop selling fake college degrees to unsuspecting people.  Of course, he refused.  I knew he would.

Now people on his bulletin board are really starting to wonder what has happened to him AGAIN, as he has been suspiciously absent for quite some time.  People on the internet just can't understand that 80% of these places are ripoffs, and Ford's is the worst.  As I have said before, stay away from this scam factory.

Ford is MIA Again

AUTHOR: Dr Trevlac - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 11, 2010

It appears that the so-called "Reverend" Ford has gone missing again.  I don't know if he had another cat die, or what, but he has been conspicuously absent since February 12th.

As one person on his bulletin board put it today:

"The result is that emails are not answered and orders and requests are not always fulfilled. ... I am anxious at the thought that people may be sending money and that money is not being seen as being accounted for."

The scam just keeps getting deeper and deeper.  Now, as seen from the posting above, people that know this charlatan personally are coming forward and publicly decrying his actions.

Again we say, STAY AWAY FROM FICOTW!  It's a scam and you WILL get pulled into "Reverend" Ford's nefarious ways.

More Info on The Matter of FICOTW

AUTHOR: Briteyed1 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 06, 2010

Hello, I am someone that personally knows Mr. Ford and have known him for many years. There is alot of things that I know to be true. I can remember when he first started his so called online ministry. He was with a free webhosting company called Angelfire.com. He ran it from his home, which he still does, I believe. Also, I know for a fact that he has taken advantage of many people. (Even sexually! I know someone personally, that he raped, not by force, but because this person was desprite for shelter, which he knew and offered to help, then, threatened her to either put out or gt out, and I can proveit! Then, when confronted, he lied about it!) Also, while I don't know about his prescription drug use, I KNOW he also A LOTsmokes pot, constaintly! He would get down right out demanding and throw a childish temper tantrum if he didn't get any. He can be very malipulating and decietful. If things doesn't go his way then he literally shows his true colors and storms around and tells lies about whoever he is buying from. He once bragged that people are idiots and that he is smarter than everyone. He said that he treats others like idiots because they are. His own family won't have much to do with him. He said that himself, out of his own mouth!

One can not be, in good faith become an ordained minister without years of studing and dedication to the Lord. He use to dress with a Catholic Priests (Jesuit Priest at that) collar. He is NOT someone that can work for someone else or be under a boss,(these are his words, NOT mine) so he refuses to hold down a real job, because he gets fired because he can't be the boss.

I know several pastors and ministers and unless they are retired, they all have real jobs besides with the church. I know for a fact that he prints all the documents and degrees, etc. from his home printer (His studies are NOT accredited) and I have personally witnessed him doing it. He charged at the time $100+ dollars for lessons, which was just consisting of whatever he decided to quiz someone on, he DOES NOT have any degree for teaching nor for being a minister or priest nor ordained himself. He does have some type of degree from Augusta State University which at the time was called Augusta College, but I beleive it was for some type of business admin.

I do feel bad for all those that have sent him money for a worthless piece of paper stating that they are ordained ministers or the like, however, I believe that those people can sue him for misrepresenting, misleading and pretending to be a teacher. It would be worth the research to find out, and I sincerely hope that someone does. He is a total fraud! Please people wake up. I know this person personally and while he did have an actual church in Hephzibah, Ga. He claimed that there was just no fellowship being the reason the church didn't take off along with the economy being bad, but I know that with the thousands of dollars he gets from people sending cash for those fake and fraudulant documents, that he isn't hurting for cash. He says he is married and because she has a house and land he moved in with her, instead of him providing the homestead. In my opinion he only married her because she has something that he wanted which is a home without him paying for it himself! He lived in a trailor park in Hephizbah, Ga before he decided to conning someone in to mrring him. I don't know his wife, but I do feel sorry for her, I know how he is. I bet she walks on eggshells too.( Scared of making him mad. He proberly gets volent when angered) Then he says that he is working part-time as a photographer with a newpaper in Harlem, Ga. So, he will get whats coming to him, the Lord says, "Vengence is mine!" What goes around definitely comes around!

I know what it takes to become a minister, because I am one. Through, an actual university, and believe me, it takes several years to become one. Also, one has to know the Bible! He as far as I know doesn't even open it up unless he has to. While he says his church is real, the Bible talks about false prophets and teachers, and he is clearly one of them. I pray that everyone will get their money back and if you do want to become a teacher, minister or work for the Lord, please, please, please go about the old fashioned way and go to actual school, work hard and study at accredited schools and universities!

I would be happy to discuss this with anyone that wishes.

Have a super blessed day! May the Lord be with you always!

AUTHOR: Diogenes - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 13, 2009

It IS his site, and his orgainization ( I hesitate to actually call it a ministry ). I suppose he can do whatever he wants with it. But, unfortuately, he is deceiving a good many people into believing that he is on the " up and up ". Nothing could be further from the truth. This guy is nothing more than a little "Hitler", disposing of those he doesn't like or who disagree with his views or authority. And those he is deceiving do not possess the Theological knowledge to realize what is going on in this man's realm. It seems odd that this organization claims to have thousands of members, yet could not keep a brick and mortar church going for much more than a year. Apparently, the physical church never had more than a handful of attendees at any given service, and even with all of these "supposed" members could not raise enough money each month to pay the meager rent required for the building. And think of all of those people who have been "ordained" by this organization, who think they are REALLY pastors......geeezzzzz. I can't think of ANY legitimate church that wouldn't laugh someone out of the building if they showed up presenting those phoney credentials.........Stay away...stay FAR away.

The Iron Fist

AUTHOR: Dr Trevlac - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 12, 2009

Now that the so-called "Reverend" Ford is back, for however long he is back, he has once more leveled his iron fist toward anyone that refuses to drop to their knees and kiss his ring.

Because of posts on his message board that have ever so slightly disagreed with his policy, and have pointed toward his misdeeds while he was away eating Prozac, he has banned at least two members from ever posting on the bulletin board again, and their messages have been purged from the board. I guess he can now pretend the messages were never there in the first place.

This is the sign of a real Christian "Minister"?

This isn't a ministry. It's the personal money-making scheme of one man, determined to run his world his own way, and milk the bobble-headed masses for every last penny he can get from them. Do yourselves a favor and find a real ministry if you are looking for one.

Indeed. This is the worst kind of diploma mill. Hiding behind the facade of being a church !!! And an ONLINE church, at that !!! That's really the Christian thing to do. Handing out Ph.D.s to morons who can barely spell their own names, and know next to NOTHING about the Bible, Theology, Doctrines, etc. And not a one of them has ever pastored a REAL church. Such a disgrace upon the name of Christ.

"Rev" Ford is Back, adn Things are Worse

AUTHOR: Dr Trevlac - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, July 11, 2009

At least four Ripoff Reports have been filed concerning the First International Church of the Web (FICOTW) and its founder, the ever-elusive Rev David Ford. These reports show how Ford uses his ministry to solicit funds from unsuspecting people for Christian ordination materials, and fictitious doctorate degrees, many costing in excess of $100! These reports also discuss how Ford takes long sabbaticals, many lasting for months and months, when nobody can contact him, and during which peoples' money is sucked into a black hole, from which it never appears again.

These reports are all true. Many people have had their money taken, never to be seen again. Ford asks people to give their money to God, but it's Ford's own address that he wants them to send it to.

Now I see that Reverend David Ford has actually once again made an appearance on his own bulletin board. In an attempt to gain the trust of all the bobble-heads that frequent the message board, he placed a message saying that the reason he has been absent is because he was hooked on Prozac! And why, you might ask, would a supposedly learned man of God get cranked up on drugs? He says it's because his cat died! OMG!

So his cat dies, and then he gets strung out on drugs, and he is on drugs while he bilks funds from people that send orders to him, and then he expects forgiveness? Just like that? Is his last name really Madoff? This guy sure has a lot of faith in the Christian penchant for forgiving every little negative nuance.

Not only that, but now that Ford himself finally decides to grace everyone with his presence, there is a big graphic TOP DEAD CENTER on the message board web page, begging for even more money! Doesn't this guy ever get enough?

On top of that, many people on his board have asked him if he needs their help, and he turns them down. I wonder if Ford's just afraid somebody else will see just how much money is really flowing through his account?

This place is not only a scam, and a diploma mill, selling fake doctorate degrees that have no legal backing whatsoever, but now we find that it has been run by a drug addict, and now he's blatantly begging for even more money! Like I said, it's a total rip off! Stay away from First International Church of the Web!

FICOTW is a Total Scam

AUTHOR: Dr Trevlac - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 24, 2009

First International Church of the Web is, in my opinion, a total fraud. I have been a member for a while, and I still say it. For months, people have been complaining that they are sending money and orders to "Rev." David Ford, and they have received nothing in return. On June 23, 2009, one person wrote this on the FICOTW bulletin board:

A friend and I are both ordained ministers. We have been running an outreach food pantry for some years. I mailed in coursework and checks for Master of Theology degrees. It's been 2 months since the checks were cashed but have heard or received nothing. I have emailed Rev. David Ford repeatedly with no reply. Can someone help?!

The fact is that the answer is NO. It seems nobody can help. Money seems to be pouring into the ministry, but nothing is being returned for the money. In my opinion that amounts to either Mail Fraud or Interstate Wire Fraud, depending on whether it is being sent through the mail or over the internet. The so-called Reverend David Ford is apparently keeping the money for himself and either refusing or neglecting to send the product ordered. So I guess that could make it either fraud or outright theft.

Stay away from this place. It is a scam, and it gives other, more legitimate, ministries a black eye.

Waiting

AUTHOR: Diogenes - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 06, 2009

Yes, and you will continue to wait. The "brick and mortar" church is gone, as the "ministry" could no longer afford the rent on the building. It is now nothing more than any other "online ordination" service. The bulletin board is almost devoid of postings now, as most people have fled from the lack of support from the "board". Most postings now appear to be nothing more than someone copying articles from other web sites. As another poster pointed out, these "ministers" have no clue about church history nor Theological issues. The sooner this organization disappears, the better for Christianity.

AUTHOR: Tex - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Hi,
It's great that people have come out to defend the ministry. That said, I have been waiting for a response from Rev. Ford since Oct. 20, 2008 and have heard nothing nor have I received my order that I sent money for. No one on earth is too busy to answer an email and I've sent approximately 6 over the past SEVEN WEEKS.

There is no phone # on the site to call and I am hoping I have not been had. Still holding out that these people (or person) will be a decent Christian and respond to my questions or at very least send my order. Completely dissatisfied with the lack of care or communication on Rev. Ford's part. Will write more later if the situation changes.

I beleive that the internet church and the brick and mortor church is the first church of it's kind. Yes, things get slow from time to time. But I have a great respect for Pastor David Ford, doing all the work himself. It is very difficult to do. I am willing to bet if you go into any other church and ask the pastor if he/she does all the work in their church, they would laugh at you for saying somthing so upsurde!!(sp). Yet all the jobs to do in FICOTW/St. Lukes, are done by David Ford and his wife.

They have been a great help and influence to me over the years. I support and will support them in the future. I owe them more than they owe me.

Give me a break

AUTHOR: Atlanta Guy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 25, 2008

FICOTW is foremost an intenet ordaining service. Yes, they DO have an actual chruch in Georgia, where a handful of people attend on Sunday mornings. I sometimes read their bulletin board and am quite amused by what I see. Of course 99.99% of those ordained never actually DO anything with their ordination. The remainder make a few posts on the bulletin board and are never heard from again. Only a couple of these have actually delivered a sermon ANYWHERE, or actually belong to ANY real church. I have seen "fights" on their bulletin board over the most elemental Chrisitian doctrines, as most of these " Reverends" don't even know where to find the book of Genesis, let alone actual Theology. I have no idea WHERE the founder of ST. LUKES received his ordination, but it was most certainly NOT from any recognized denomination. They also have a "school" where one can earn a Ph.D. by simply answering a few questions, writing a short 2-5 page paper, and sending in the appropriate $. I have seen some of the posts written by these " Ph.D.s". My 6th grade grandson is capable of better grammar and spelling. Give me a break !!!! In my opinion, these people are nothing but a bunch of " pastor wannabes ". Fortunately, some states have passed, or are working on passing , laws that prohibit people who hold these "internet ordinations" from performing weddings, funerals, etc. To be a pastor requires MUCH more than going online and filling out a form, and most of these Nimrods don't even have a clue.

SLECM, FICOTW

AUTHOR: Chaplain Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 25, 2008

I am a member of FICOTW. I became a member in May of 2004 and was ordained shortly after that. I have been in contact with Brother David Ford by phone and email on numerous occasions. I have found him to be truthful and friendly on all occasions.

There was a period of time when receiving orders placed with the ministry did take longer than expected. I kept tabs on all the comments and discussions on our bulletin board that were made regarding the subject. I was always hopeful that I would receive my order, and eventually did. And, I am no worse for the delay.

While I will not comment on any one individual who made disrespectful comments and accusations, I sincerly hope that at a time in their lives when they need to be shown some grace, that they do not have to deal with people that are similar to what they have shown themselves to be.

There has been a ministry workshop and a gathering of several folks at the church building, that is indeed located at the address in Georgia. There are pictures posted of many of the church services, showing church members and guests, truly a congregation even though it is not a "Mega Church". The kind of small, close knit group that most people would find very comfortable and friendly.

In closing, I would like to see that James d. from Columbus, Ohio, return to this board and let us all know if he has either received a refund of his monies or recieved the documents that he ordered, or both. Any more comments from myself would only be considered hateful and derogatory, so I will end here.

Respectfully,
Chaplain Dave

My Coments about FICOTW/SLECM.

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 25, 2008

My Name is David S. Wilcox. I have been a member and a ordained Minister of This Ministry since December of 2004. This Ministry is a Internet Ministry and A BRICK and MORTAR Church also. This Church has also been on the Seven Hundred Club by Pat Robertson. There has been times that Credentials that I have ordered been late. How ever I did get them. This Ministry is incorporated and legal. The Church has thousands of members and some times it is overwhelming for the leadership to get all the orders out on time. Some members have not had the patience to wait and get upset and leave the Church. The leadership of this Church has a lot to do. There are orders to get out and making time to prepair for Church Services and Maintance and answering emails and running the internet service for the Church and Mailing hundreds of Mail every week, plus taking care of His family. People are not always perfect and can get behind at times. I give this Minister a lot of credit for what He is doing it is a wonder He is not burnt out yet or giving up. This Minister also puts up with a lot of unhappy people at times with some of their complaints but He tries to solve peoples complaints the best He can. This Minister Has much patience. God Bless you Brother David Ford and your Family. Thank You for Making my Dream Come true by granting me membership and ordination which many churches would not help me like you have.

In defense of FICOTW and St. Luke's

AUTHOR: L R Williams - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Having read the scathing criticisms against this ministry I am compelled to write in defense of Rev. David Ford and FICOTW/St. Luke's Evangelical Christian Ministry. I have held membership and ordination since 2003. While the ministry offers its members and ordained ministers a variety of items for purchase (e.g., attractively designed credentials, certificates, letters of good standing, etc.) both my membership and my ordination were free. I have never been solicited to buy anything or make contributions in order to retain my ordination or status within the ministry. The overall character of the ministry can be seen reflected in those members who actively participate on the ministy's bulletin board. It is on this same bulletin board that Rev. Ford posts photos and church bulletins of his weekly services at the small brick-and-mortar church that he pastors in Hepzibah, Georgia. These are posted in the interest of the members of FICOTW and St. Luke's who take a great deal of pride in this ministry and want to feel connected to it even though separated by miles. No one is a member by force or coersion and no one has been decieved. If there is a criticism to be levied it is that a period of time did exist where online orders were slow in being fulfilled and there seemed to be no communication. The effects of this problem could be seen in the posts to the bulletin board. Most members expressed concern that the lack of communication and unfulfilled orders meant something bad may have happened to Rev. Ford. They seemed less concerned about the material merchandise. A smaller number of other members were more concerned about the merchandise--that they didn't receive quickly enough their certificates of ordination and wallet-sized membership cards--and took attitudes on the bulletin boards that ranged from simple inquiries all the way up to accusations that Rev. Ford was a crook. Since then Rev. Ford has seemed to go the extra mile to beef up communication with members and get back orders moving. He has demonstrated, at least to my satisfaction, that he is operating in good faith and that his heart is truly to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing ordination to those who feel called to ministry.
