The practice they use is telling us to go to a rear or side door and rekey it, well this is deceptive, if the banks want the house back then rekey the front door letting the home owner know someone was there, dont rekey a side door home owners do not check these doors everyday if there not used, it might be weeks before they notice someone has been in the home. This is just one example of the way they operate. I have literally hundreds of cases fully documented on the ethics of them.
One more I was asked to go to a property to verify occupancy I reported back it was occupied they in turn contacted the realtor, who probably never left her car due to the area reported it was vacant. Field Assets then sent me back to the property to rekey a side door and do what they call initail services. Well after ringing the door bell many times I drilled the locks and went in assuming it was empty, to my suprise the lady of the home was taking a shower. Needless to say that did not go well.
Back to the work performed, I have done many lawns never to be paid for them because they say they see clippings, or leaves there are never clippings but sometimes you see leaves, the wind does blow them out of trees. to date the net loss I have on these type issues is 117,340.00 yes thats correct screwed me out of that much for lawn mowing over the years. Now I know why American Home Mtg. quit doing business with them.
Then the dreaded trashout you go to the job you take photos to do the job you call and say that the property has 150 cubes which by the way they call a cube to be the size of a wash machine. I buy one cubic yard trash bags and I sure cant put a washer in it but I bag up around 200 - 220 bags of debris. a 150 yard trashout should pay 3750.00 but then comes the discount for the profit sharing people of FAS. So you actally get 2700.00 then comes my expenses. Well now the brains of the operation at FAS decided to go flat fee of 350.00 wow and now you get the bottom line.
I also keep track of all the percentages they take for the propfit sharing and that adds up to just shy of 500k. money i made for the top executives at FAS to drive the fancy cars and live on top status so they can still allow the workers at FAS to threaten you , talk down to you , belittle you and decline your work for leaves in the yard.
American Home was smart in pulling out of FAS, top notch companies like American Home do business with top notch companies unlike FAS Well this is just a touch of how I have been screwed so you make your own decision on doing work for them, Now I must go and I will update with more of my issues with them at a later date
