I was invited to applie for a credit on internet by First Premier Bank. Several days later I began to receive phone calls telling me that I was approved with a $2000.00 credit limit as an added bonus I would also receive an additional credit card with a credit limit of $6000.00.

Needless to say red flags stood up. I asked what was the other card of $6000.00 was far the customer rep became alarmed and tried to explain that it was to allow me to purchase thousands of dollars of items on the internet that I other wise could not purchase. Then she begin to ask me for my checking or saving account number. I then asked her why. She said that the company need to with draw credit card fees 296. I asked her do you mean $2.96 or $296.00. She tried to close the deal. And asked me for checking information again. I said no and hung up the phone. Keep receiving the phone calls for about four days. The young lady became very up set with me saying no.

About four days later May 16, 2003, I received two Master Cards in the mail. I was informed that $198.00 was charged to my account and I a remaining balance of 152.00 and to beat all a payment of $20.00 was due by June 5, 2003. I don't thik so.

I called their number 1-800-987-5521 and spoke to a very rude customer rep name Tim. He tried to everything he could to make feel stupid. He told me I should never have signed an application if I did not want to pay the fees. I never signed anything it was an online application.

I called back and spoke another customer rep. I told her that I was going to file a report with thier BBB in Sioux Falls, SD. I called back and the credit card was no longer good. Later I called back just to make sure this time I asked to speak to an account manager. After a minute wait, I spoke to a manager. I asked him if their company was legal, of course he said yes.

I told him that I reproted him to the BBB and bout all the report I found about First Premier Bank. He that all those report were not important they are just unsitified customer reports and had no bearing on First Premier Bank. I asked him how could they open an account and charge fees to someone without a written aggrement to it.

He studdered and started his pitch all over again. Once again I informed him that they had another complaint filed against them. One of the things about receiveing this master card was the fact that there was nothing stating Annual precent rates, and their are three different address: (Credit Card Division, P.O. Box 34888, Omaha NE 68134-9724; Return Service Requsted address, P.O. Box 247001 Omaha, NE 68124-7001 and of course the address for First Premier Bank, P.O. Box 5519, Sioux Falls, Sd 57117-5519.

Please be careful when you visit the web in search of low interest credit card.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!

I did a reverse check on the internet and found this report ... I was hesitant to open the envelope but it had my new credit card from PayPal.  Perhaps this address handles the processing for multiple companies.
