Larry H. Miller Ford I Been going thru this problem for a year now.Ford Will not Fix heads that they created. Threads that will hold spark plugs from shooting out of engine.I was told there was a recall on the TriTon v 8 engines.Ford tells me they are not responsible and that they do not know what I am talking about.Cost to Fix $1500 to have the heads rethread to fix the problem. Ford should Fix or Honor the Creation of the Heads that they knew did not have enought thread to hold spark plugs from shooting out of the triTon v8 engines.The Mechanic stated to me that it would cost Ford alot of money if they recalled all TriTon V8 engines to fix the problem.The Mechanic stated that it is the customer responsablity to have there engines fixed if they do not want it to continue.I feel that it is up to ford to fix this problem with all the money they made for these bad engines.Us the customer should not be responisable for a engine that we did not create and did not know about this type of problem.When I spoke to the manager he stated he new nothing about the TriTon V8 engine blowing spark plugs.I have paid alot of money for things that they say is wrong with the Truck and they same thing happens 2 months later throwing the spark plug from the Head.First they stated it was a bad spark plugs and wires I had that replaced by them and paid .Next time 2 months later They stated it was the hoses draining radiator fueled down the spark plug to cause it to throw the spark plug from the head.So I had that fixed and paid. Now they are stating I need a coil replaced in the spark plug housing.This is costing me an arm and a leg and it is not getting better.enought is enought.I am not a rich women.But I need my truck

I own a repair shop and it is a very big and ongoing problem. We deal with your situation a couple of times a month. Theres really not much you can do about it other then heli-coil all 8 holes and be done with it. If you use a good set of plugs they will probably outlast the vehicle. It really is a bad design and I cant believe that a class action lawsuit hasnt been filed yet. Good luck.
